Re: Iron as immediate relief
Viewaskew, with all due respect it seems impossible to me to start to take your RLS meds (plural) at 10:10 and be "fine" 30 minutes later based on your recent below post that I copied and pasted: Last night I screwed myself. I was so over the moon about not having any symptoms in the eveni...

Re: Iron as immediate relief
It takes a full hour for iron to begin to work. You waited only 40 minutes. Congratulations on the methadone working completely to relieve your RLS within 30 minutes. Per several articles I just read it is only first detectable in the blood after 30 minutes and can take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to...

Re: ferratin
You deleted the names of the substances known to make RLS worse and most of which are listed on Dr. B's website, however somewhat buried. It was all of 10 substances yet incredibly important to know and helped Qxy tremendously as he stated. Very sad!

Re: ferratin
I mean vitamin C isn't necessary with ferrous bisglycinate. Any other type of iron it's probably a good idea.

Re: ferratin
Are you still using the Floravital which is ferrous gluconate? Not a very bioavailable form. [DELETED] I'm amazed that the gluconate ever worked for you. It's similar to ferrous sulfate which never stopped the RLS for me. [DELETED] Why is your RLS so bad lately? Did you start a new medication? [DELE...

[DELETED] Then the idea is [THE] brain and receptors of all kinds will once again kick in and produce all of those feel good hormones on their own. It won't take long. [DELETED] Nothing ventured nothing gained. I'm tired of that cliche but it seems appropriate. Statements framed as medical advice ha...

Re: Fighting opioid tolerance
Qyx, here is a post just today from another RLS forum. One of about a dozen over the course of the past few months: "Yes, Ferrous Bisglycinate has been my savior. It has stopped my RLS cold and has allowed me to titrate off my Ropinerole slowly without any flare ups. It is like a magic bullet.&...

Re: My pharma diary
[DELETED] Also there seems to be little point in taking a second iron pill in same evening unless u take two at same time. Due to a little hormone called hepcidin researchers are thinking that slightly larger doses taken every other day (at least for anemia) will provide better absorption and raise ...

Re: My pharma diary
Well I'm not worried about the iron working for you [DELETED] I know people on here will disagree but RLS is little more than anemia of the brain that generally only rears its ugly head at night. Always exceptions but that's the general pattern. You are well armed against this condition. So after yo...
