hey Nadia.....excellent post! Very helpful and informative. One thing puzzles me tho: Pregnant women treated with levodopa (Sinemet®, Prolopa®) or a dopaminergic agonist (Mirapex®, Requip®, Permax®, Parlodel®) may continue their treatment during pregnancy I am (was) on Mirapex until 3 days ago. I ha...

klonopin

Hi there.....welcome to the club (so to speak) I am very curious as to how other people react to klonopin and what kind of other drugs I could take I have found that timing of some of the drugs prescribed makes the world of difference! If I haven't taken my meds by 9pm at the very latest, I'm toast ...

Thanks for the reply Becat. I've wondered about my donations but they've always said there was no problem. I too, did platelets but am back to whole blood again. The blood drop tests always sink immediately......and they check their books every time regarding the meds I'm on and they still say it's ...

Ferritin levels

I need some clarification about acceptable ferritin levels and treatment. I asked for bloodwork a couple of weeks ago from my GP and altho I'm still waiting for my calcium and magnesium results, my ferritin results came in today. The lab used said 13-135 nng/ml is the normal range. I registered at 2...

HI Jenny. thanks for the info....and congrats on your upcoming arrival! Like I mentioned to Nadia, I have an appointment next week. If Mirapex acts like bc, then why take bc?!? Just from what I've read so far, if this is going to be a reality for us, then I have to get off Mirapex I cannot imagine w...

WOW, thanks Nadia! It'll take me awhile to ferret thru all that, so hopefully, I'll find something usefull to take to my doc. I tried doing a search myself but couldn't find much for the 'layman'. Just a bunch of medical mumbo jumbo that I wasn't sure was even useful! I have an appointment next week...

Pregnancy and meds advice

ok ladies, I know there are a few of you out there. I need some advice. My hubby and I are considering starting a family. I'm 36 and he's 40. We don't do it now, it won't happen! My doctor has advised that my meds will have to stop (I'm on Mirapex and Clonezapam) But he's not offered an alternative....

Hi Jumpy, I've not had my levels checked yet, altho my GP suggested I do a couple months ago. I put him off at that time. (don't ask me why) But I'll be seeing him again soon and ask for the test. I did not realize until after I found this site that iron levels were so important and revelant. I talk...

Might as well introduce myself this way!

Hi all, I have to say....this site is a god-send! I'm new to all this and am finding it very informative. So, here goes: AGE: 36 SEX: female MEDS: Mirapex .5-.75mg at dinner. Clonazepam .5mg at bed. Oral iron supplements 1-2x day Symptoms started about 5-6 years ago but I was not diagnosed until 8 m...
