I, too, eat more at night then in the day. I had gained alot of weight until I started taking narcotics. Even then, at least once a week I have a bad night and eat and eat and eat. I lost 80 pounds a couple of years ago but started to gain again. I know this is from eating at night because I do not ...

weight gain

I tend to eat when I can't sleep due to my RLS. Does anyone else have this problem and if so, what do you do?

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I found a number for a support goup in my area (Sacramento CA) and called the woman who runs it. She says they will be starting up meetings after the Holidays because she is going to have surgery soon. She and I talked for a while which was very nice since I do ...

Thank you for all your nice replys. I currently just started to go to a Neurologist that specializes in Sleep Disorders. I have been taking Norco(7.5/325) for the last 2 years after trying every other medication that the Doctors prescribed. This included elavil, anti-inflammatories, sinemet, quinine...

Worst night ever

I recently had the worse night I have ever had with my RLS. Not only had I run out of the medication I use for my RLS, I used OTC medications and prescription cough medicine. that I have since read makes RLS worse. The RLS attacked every part of my body except my feet and hands. I got a total of 1 1...

I, too, just saw a new neurologist. I wrote a 2 page synopsis of the last 7 years of my RLS. I included the progression and the medications that I tried. I wrote how long I was on the meds-how they worked (or didn't work) and how long they worked. I knew I was going to be asked these questions and f...

New Doctor

My Doctor of 7 years is not accepting my insurance anymore. I recently went to a new doctor who asked me why I was prescribed so many Norco. When I replied, "RLS," he promptly told me "there seems to be a lot of "Syndromes" out there. Needless to say, I will not be returning to that Dr. to treat my ...

I was given Methadone a few months ago. It helped the RLS but made me very tired all day long. I stopped taking it for this reason.

Yes, it feels as though I have run a marathon that I did not win. I currently take Norco for the RLS but also take it during the day when my legs ache. It is hard enough to get this medication for the RLS so I have to be careful how many I take.

Sore legs the day after

I am new to this group and was wondering how common is it for your legs to ache during the day. I have found that the more severe the RLS at the night - the more my legs ache and are tired the next day.

Have any of the ladies out there noticed their RLS is worse around their monthly cycle? I have RLS almost everynight but it is worse a week before I start my period.

RLS and PMS

I just signed up to find out if other women their RLS is worse around that time of month. I suffer from RLS almost every night, but is unbearable around my period. Thank goodness, I have medication to mask(relieve) the symptoms but sometimes they don't even work. Thanks.
