I forwarded the doctor literature, to support my request. I think there's a white paper on the benefits of IV Infusion floating around on this site. I sent it to the doc. I think it helped a lot.

LOL. I keep reading that being overweight increases your chances of getting RLS, but I haven't heard anyone mention weight loss as a remedy.

I was just approved for an Iron Dextran IV treatment. I'll be getting it next week. I heard you need to stop taking oral iron supplements before the treatment. Does anyone know anything about that? Such as, how long beforehand do you need to stop?

Fruno, that sounds exactly like what I experienced. Last night, I didn't take it. My arms were fine and I slept for 3 hours straight, then two more hours of interrupted sleep. 5 hours of sleep total. Finally.

I have a neurologist appt. in October (on waitlist), and hemotologist appt. in 2 weeks. Hoping to get iron IV treatment.

How long does it take for the Ropinirole effects to go away?

I have an appt. with a neurologist set for October. Primary Doc and ER refused to give me Iron IV OR opiods. I also have an appt. with my hemotologist in two weeks, and I will ask her for an iron IV infusion too.

I was just prescribed Gabapenten, after stopping Ropinirole. The first day, I took 300 mg before bed. The second night, I took 600 mg before bed. Both times I experienced NO relief, my RLS seemed suddenly strong in my arms, and I was groggy headed. I'm not sure if I should even bother taking 900 mg ...

Oh, I wish that were true. I have always been tired. And I've never had a problem feeling "okay" as long as I'm on my feet, walking. If I could fall asleep while laying down = then I'd feel like I was on the road to getting better.
