Advice for Overnight Flight
Hello Friends, My RLS is controlled very well with .5 mg of ropinirole and 5 mg of hydrocodone. Sometimes I have break through issues and take just a tiny bit more of each. Question - in two weeks I'm flying to London - the flight leaves at 6:30 pm. I desperately want to be able to sleep but taking ...

Associations between RLS & Asperger's & Other conditions
Can anyone address the frustrating association between RLS and Asperger's, myoclonus, hypnic jerks, benign fasciculation syndrome, insomnia, brain vibrations? While I have severe RLS - - - - my son, who is 43 ---- has suffered for 2 years with a variety of symptoms. It started with muscle twitches (...

Re: Emory Sleep Center
I contacted the RLS Foundation and Karla did reach out to Emory and Dr. Trotti on my behalf. It seems that my records were delivered by UPS to the correct address at the Emory Sleep Center - - - but from the mail room to Dr. Trotti's staff - the records are misplaced or lost. There is absolutely not...

Re: Emory Sleep Center
Thank you, I will contact the RLS Foundation on Monday. According to Dr. Trotti, Medicare will not pay for the infusion. She said I could try the Neupro patch which would cost me about $700 per month - - - and to take oral iron supplements. I'm just going to stay on the ropinirole and hydrocodone. A...

Emory Sleep Center
I live in Florida and had been looking forward to an evaluation at the Emory Sleep Center for 6 months. I had new patient appointment on February 24. I called in January to ask if they needed my medical records from my local doctors and they told me yes, I would need to mail or fax them before my ap...

Iron Levels
I'm sure this has been addressed before, but could someone please share with me the 'normal' iron levels for RLS patients. Where should I be? I just had bloodwork done this morning. Iron - 73; TIBC - 328; Iron Saturation - 22%; and Ferritin - 47.9. I seem to remember a White Paper written by a bunch...

Re: Does Augmentation Wax & Wane?
Hi Betty, Thank you for your response. I actually thought the same thing - SOMETHING must have triggered it. The only 'new' thing in my diet was pistachio Talenti gelato. I ate it twice, two days in a row which coincided with the increase in my symptoms. It happened so quickly after eating the gelat...

How do you see posts in order from most recent?
When I look at posts there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the order. I'll see a post from 2021, then 2017, then 2021 again. Can you explain how to set up to show the most recent posts?

Does Augmentation Wax & Wane?
I am taking .5 mg of ropinirole plus 5 mg of hydrocodone in the evening. And I usually take .125 mg of xanax before bed. If necessary in the middle of the night I might add 5 mg of ambien. Two weeks ago I had something that I can only describe as a flare. I had RLS all day long, every day for 5-6 da...

Re: Anyone go to Vanderbilt for treatment?
I have my initial appointment with Dr. Rye at Emory at the end of November. Can anyone describe their experience with him? I'm traveling a long way to see him. I particularly do not want to be subjected to another sleep study. I've had many, all with the diagnosis of mild sleep apnea for which I use...

Worms in Legs
Hello, I've been living with RLS for decades and now my 41 year old son is having some issues which are similar - would appreciate anyone's input on his situation. He started taking Zoloft for OCD and anxiety about 2 months ago. He had unpleasant side effects so he stopped the Zoloft, then started b...

Benzo withdrawal or Augmentation?
Dear Support Group, The past two nights have been tortuous. I've never taken more than .5 mg of xanax per night - - - and usually I only take .375 mg. I've been taking it every night for 3-6 months because it works for my insomnia. I've also had to increase my ropinirole from .25 mg to .5 mg most ni...
