Re: Ropinerole dosage

hdf, When I was diagnosed with RLS two months ago my primary care doctor immediately put me on 1 mg of Ropinirole once every night. It did nothing for me, but that is probably because it turns out RLS is not my problem. Unfortunately, because of the misdiagnosis, I was taking 1 mg of ropinirole nigh...

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

Once again I feel the need to thank you all for helping me through this difficult time as I try to figure out what the hell this illness is that has taken over my life. Holland - Thank you for the advice on the spine MRI. Yes, I am pushing for this. My new pain management doctor agrees but the first...

Hey all, finally posting a LONG overdue reply. Once again, thank you all for your thoughtful responses. They mean a lot. And I feel the need to apologize for not responding back for over a week. You deserve at least some response after giving your time to respond to my questions. Honestly, I have be...

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

Thank you for your reply Betty and well said on the opioids. I am inclined to agree if it is making your life work, than it works. I think I am probably overly cautious due to the opioid hysteria, which I really do fear is going to make life really hard for people like yourself (and perhaps myself) ...

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

Thanks for the reply Holland. So far the three iron tablets are not bothering me and I am taking them with chewable vitamin C as well to make them more bioavailable. Given I suffer from real problems with GERD its a minor miracle that I don't have any issue. On that note, however, I now wonder if my...

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

Hey all, I know several of you have already spent way too much of your time responding to my posts and concerns, but I would really love to hear your thoughts on my last post about the diagnosis and the treatment plan. Any insight is very much welcome.

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

Hey all, update from my neurologist visit today. So I got my ferritin test results. 36!!! And that was after I had already started taking iron supplements for several days. It looks like from all the people I have talked to on this forum, the folks I have talked to on the phone at the Southern Calif...

How should I taper of my 1 mg of ropinirole?

I am seeing my neurologist on Monday and want to ask him to taper me off the 1 mg of ropinirole I am taking nightly as it does not seem to be working and I fear augmentation even though I have been on it less than a month. Unfortunately, I don't have a great deal of confidence in my neurologist so I...

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

I should add one more potentially relevant factor here. 10 days ago I restarted taking my Wellbutrin. Since my neurologist didn't see it as a problem (unlike the Trazadone which he blamed for my symptoms but which I have been off for weeks). And since I had read online several sources indicating Wel...

Beth, you are truly amazing. Thank you so much for putting that document together for me. I have read through it once already and think I will probably need to read through it several more times to digest it all. I am going to mark it up and bring it with me to my neurologist visit on Monday. It doe...

Good point Beth! I will focus on my post in the "Just Joined" section moving forward I think. And apologies to all if I have been overdoing it with posts in multiple sections of the forums.

Beth, I just replied to your reply post to my first post in the "Just Joined" section, so if you haven't seen that yet, take a look. But I want to say again, thank you, thank you, thank you! You have gone above and beyond with your replies. On the Wellbutrin - Roughly 5 or 6 days after my symptoms s...

Beth, first I really want to thank you! You have gone above and beyond reading my posts and responding to my questions and concerns. I really owe you a debt. If by some odd chance we ever happen to meet I at least owe you a dinner or a drink or something, LOL! No seriously, your insights are invalua...

Re: New here, just diagnosed but not sure it really is RLS...

First off, thank you all for your very thoughtful and helpful replies! It means so much to get your insight as I feel like I am in a black hole of despair at the moment over this. Beth (badnights) what a great through reply. Thank you. To answer your specific questions... Ferritin level: I took a bl...

Re: Anyone ever been told trazadone caused their RLS?...

stjohn and QyX, thank you both for your thoughtful and insightful responses. They are certainly much appreciated. QyX I am very intrigued by what you say as you are the first person to suggest like my neurologist that Trazadone could be an RLS trigger. The pharmacists and a psychiatrist I spoke with...
