Re: Question (Pramipexole/Mirapex)

Thank you, Holland.

It's unfortunate that drugs like Pramipexole are not safer for taking for longer periods as they really help with the RLS. As you know, I'm on 0.125 mg and I can tell you that right now I am totally RLS-free, so to speak. Too bad that this will not last forever.

Regards,
Leo

Question (Pramipexole/Mirapex)

Hi everyone, A question for the more knowledgeable members of this great forum: Pramipexole has a relatively short half-life (8-12 hours). If the tablets are immediate release, then is there any systematic dopamine build-up while taking the drug regularly (like with antidepressants, etc.)? Or does t...

Re: New to RLS forum

Thank you, Bridgercan :)

Yes, memories. I remember as a child giving my dad foot massages because I was convinced that he was suffering a lot. Maybe, unconsciously I was preparing myself for the massages I would give myself much later in life :)

Best regards,
Leo

Re: NADH Article by Professor George D. Birkmayer, MD/PhD, Vienna

Thank you, Beth. I knew nothing about NADH. I came across it in this forum and googled it. Then I found this brochure by Birkmeyer. Yes, you are right - it is a brochure indeed and not an article. Later I found out that Dr. Birkmeyer is the "inventor" of ENADA NADH. So, yes. It seems that he makes m...

NADH Article by Professor George D. Birkmayer, MD/PhD, Vienna

I know that some members have used NADH for RLS. This article does not mention RLS directly, but apparently there are many benefits to NADH supplementation and some of them refer to different neurotransmitters. Here is the link for those interested (PDF): http://nadconcierge.com/wp-content/uploads/2...

Bee propolis is very good for many things, also for leaky gut.

A good article about propolis in general: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4964312/

Re: New to RLS forum

Thank you, Holland. I am very lucky for having a very understanding GP. She listens. Every time I need to do some blood work she asks me what I want to check besides the usual parameters (cholesterol, liver function, etc.). Then I am free to say: Magnesium, Zinc, hormones, whatever :) I am sure that...

New to RLS forum

Hello everyone, I decided to join this forum just now, but I have been reading/following many of its members and their struggle with RLS. I have had RLS for many years without knowing that it was a disease. My father had it and my sister has it. We always thought it was something genetic (which is) ...
