Re: Has anyone tried buprenorphine?

I'm on Suboxone (Buprenorphine+Naloxone) at the moment and it is extremely effective for me. Way more effective than anything else I've tried so far. But as Bannia said, it seems like doctors tend to prescribe unnecessarily high doses. 1mg is more than enough for me, currently trying to go down to 0...

Re: Trazadone

For me trazodone greatly exacerbates RLS symptoms. But I believe there are reports out there of people for whom it has helped with RLS

Re: How do I deal with with my mental suffering caused by RLS?

Hey FakeBeans! I can relate quite well to your particular situation because my RLS started to become a problem right around the same age as you are right now. I was also in the process of working on a university degree at the time. The first thing I'd like to say is that most likely you don't have t...

Re: Resources in Canada

I'm also in Canada (Vancouver, BC) and would be interested if anyone has found a knowledgeable doctor for RLS anywhere in BC. My family doctor is ok but not really up to date on RLS.

Getting off Pramipexole

Dear Community, I am currently undertaking my second attempt at getting off Pramipexole to see if I can manage my symptoms without it once I am back to baseline. Over the course of about 10 years my dosage had crept up to somewhere between 0.5mg and 0.75mg. I read almost all posts on this forum by p...

Specialists near Vancouver, BC

Dear Community, I moved to Vancouver in 2019 and unfortunately I wasn't able to find a proper family doctor here since no one seems to be taking new patients. So I've been getting my prescriptions (pramipexole and gabapentin) from walk-in clinics, but now I need to talk to someone who is actually so...

Re: Getting off Pramipexole

It's been a while since I opened this thread, so I thought I'd share the final outcome of my attempt to stop taking pramipexole. Without any medication I wasn't able to sleep at all, so this clearly didn't work. Thanks to this forum I discovered Kratom though, and it works really well for me. I'm ju...

Re: Ketamine and RLS

Hi Peanut1, I have experimented with Ketamine and it indeed helps a lot with RLS (at least for me). The effect is quite short lived, however. I get about 30-60 minutes relief out of one dose (snorted), which doesn't really help that much if you want to get some proper sleep. But I could imagine that...

Re: Getting off Pramipexole

But I also have to say that 2,5 mg Pramipexole per day is quite a significant dose. It never should have gotten that high. Sorry, that was actually a typo, I was on 0.5 mg Pramipexole! Your response is very encouraging, I will continue to reduce the dose for sure. What is your plan after you get of...

Getting off Pramipexole

Dear All, first of all, I want to thank everyone for sharing their experiences here. This forum is such a valuable source of information. I am particularly grateful for the reports I stumbled upon by people who had been on dopamine agonists and then managed to get off them. I got really excited read...
