I have went through augmentation twice. I am on the same medication however a second med was added plus vitamin B12 tablets. I seem to be holding steady----as she goes.

The root cause of my RLS happened with a nerve injury injection into groin area.

RLS is a neurological problem. That being said---the severity can vary from person to person. It is possible to be managed but doesn't usually go away such as many medical conditions.

Are you okay after the double knee replacement?

I know when a reaction is starting because I cannot sit down or lie down. Once it starts, it can be quite some time before subsiding. (maybe an hour) I have to stand or walk and alternate often. This is much more likely to occur late afternoon or evening. The medication helps prevent the reactions.

I would say the weaning of ropinorole should be under the doctors direction. I was told to take low dose oxycodone for 2 weeks while weaning off. It is important to see a really good neurologist regarding the difficult process of medications associated with RSL. I was weaned off ropinirole as part of a plan and now am back on it. (not sure how long--augmentation may be setting in again)
