Re: Ropin-a-ROLLIN over me like a semi truck

Hi Leslie I can so relate to your post. Yes on dreading the sun going down. for the past 12-13 years, I have dreaded nighttime. And my husband can even take naps late in the evening and sleep like a rock by 10: 30. Good luck with the ropinerole withdrawal. I took it for about 2 years before augmenta...

Re: Help with dizziness/lightheadedness & methadone

Thanks Steve and deb bluebird. I tried doubling my water intake yesterday and woke up feeling near normal. So yes, I'm wondering if this is a blood pressure issue and the extra water is helping. I purchased a blood pressure monitor on Amazon and will keep an eye on it since I do already have low blo...

Re: SO frustrated right now after visit with Dr. Walters

ViewsAskew - did I read your post correctly that Dr. B rarely does iron infusions? I have an appointment with him in November that I'm driving down to CA from Seattle for. I was hoping he'd approve me for them since I can't find anyone open to it here in Seattle - they all say my ferritin levels are...

Re: Clonazepam and Doctors

HI Beth This is a long overdue reply to your last post. Sorry, I'm still trying to figure out this forum and didn't see your post. I am finally off clonazepam. I ended up taking lorazepam to do it and that worked, with a strict titration schedule. I am now seeing a neurologist at the University of W...

Help with dizziness/lightheadedness & methadone

HI everyone I've been dealing with RLS for about 13 years. Was on ropinerole with gabapentin for augmentation holidays for 5 years but that finally stopped working, even with the holidays. I recently started seeing a neurologist at the UW Sleep Clinic here in Seattle has me on 2.5 methadone and 900 ...

Re: Reading results of Iron Bloodwork

Thanks Holland. Good to know you got yours through a hematologist - at least I'm headed in the right direction. I realize there's probably a 50/50 chance it will work for me but it's worth at least trying. The other day I "woke up" (having never really been to sleep) and started my day after a night...

Re: Clonazepam and Doctors

Really interesting and useful thread. I have been on clonozepam for 12 years, when I first developed RLS. At the time, I was told by my doctor it was the "best thing for RLS." He never discussed how hard it would be to get off it or even if it was habit forming. Over the years, I have had some very ...

MCV and MCHC levels

Hello

Has anyone here seen a link with their MCV and MCHC levels? My MCV is high, MCHC low and my iron saturation is low. My GP has put my on B-12 supplements. Anyone else had a similar issue?

Thank you.

Re: Reading results of Iron Bloodwork

Thanks Holland. I'm wondering if anyone here also has had experience or seen a link between MCV and MCHC levels? My MCV is high and my MCHC is low. Has anyone else seen this? On another note: My neurologist got back to me and said she does not have experience with iron infusion protocols but would a...

Re: Reading results of Iron Bloodwork

Sorry, it looks like stjohn's ferritin levels were 250. stjohn, I am curious if I'm reading that correctly since it looks like the guidelines say your levels need to be lower than 100?

Re: Reading results of Iron Bloodwork

Thanks Holland, My ferritin is 143 so I guess I'm not a candidate. But I was surprised to read the post above from EternityRoad who said their levels were at 250 and went to 700 after infusions so maybe I am? I found several Injectfer providers in the Seattle area and was shocked to discover that on...

Re: Reading results of Iron Bloodwork

Hello I am trying to explore iron IV infusion but I cannot get any doctor to listen to me. I live in Seattle WA and wonder if anyone here knows of a doctor who does iron infusions. These were my blood results 4 months ago: Iron Bind.Cap.(TIBC) 271 ug/dL UIBC 179 ug/dL Iron, Serum 92 ug/dL Iron Satur...
