Aromatase Inhibitors/Breast Cancer/RLS

I was diagnosed with a minor case of breast cancer four years ago. It was DCIS, stage 0, not serious. I had lumpectomy, no need for radiation or chemo. All I needed was an aromatase inhibitor for 5 years. I asked if the drug would influence my restless legs, which were under almost good control with...

Re: Lyrica

I am on Lyrica 150 mg as well as Tramadol 50 mg and Xanax 0.5 mg. I do feel foggy, fatigued and depressed at times but who’s to say what causes those symptoms since I am also on letrozole for breast cancer—which is known to cause fog, fatigue and depression. What I can say is that the RLS after augm...

Lyrica/Pregabalin

Can someone give me a bit of hope about pregabalin brain fog? I adjusted somewhat to 100 mg and am now on 150 every night. The latest increase started 10 days ago. I am also on Tramadol 50 in late afternoon. It wakes me up, and is such a relief after spending the day fighting the fog. (The neurologi...

Re: Timing of meds

Thanks so much to all of you for your input. It is validating. I have been trying various schedules with the Tramadol 50 tablets the doctor has provided (enough for 100 mg a day), along with the Lyrica 150. Tramadol certainly helps the restless legs but doesn’t hold the symptoms for more than four h...

Re: Timing of meds

Thank you. Is alert effect more common among rls sufferers?
By the way..the Mayo doctor suggested I cut back on the fast release tramadol rather than the ER. But he is in Minnesota and I am in NY.

Timing of meds

It has been a very tough year but things are looking up. After ten years, I augmented on pramipexole, tapered off. (AWFUL!!!!) I have had consult with Mayo and with local neurologists. (I will leave out the difficulties of all those…Mayo was of course the most satisfying but it was virtual and he ca...

Re: Navigating care…do I go back on DAs?

Thanks for all the input. It is tough to go through this alone, and to see eyebrows raise when a doctor or nurse sees that I am on Tramadol—a total of 150 a day. had a virtual consult with Mayo Clinic last week. It was great to talk to a doctor who knew about augmentation and congratulated me on get...

Re: Navigating care…do I go back on DAs?

Thanks, all, for your support. I do not know how you do it…I stay away from this site most of the time because I get discouraged by all the suffering. Yet, you—who have also suffered—are there when I need you.

Re: Navigating care…do I go back on DAs?

Thank you, Steve. I needed someone to tell me I am not being stubborn. It is confusing when doctors say they want you as a partner in your healthcare and then dismiss your concerns. I feel better.

Navigating care…do I go back on DAs?

I was on pramipexole for 10 years, was up to 0.75 mg, then recognized augmentation (daytime severe symptoms as well as night time symptoms) and went through the misery of withdrawal. MY primary care physician wanted to me increase the dose rather than wean off, but I had read enough to know that tha...

Re: Ropin-a-ROLLIN over me like a semi truck

Leslie—i just read your good report and hope it is still good. Are you able to go back to work? I was pleased to hear about the potential bumps in the road…I have experienced a few in my recovery. I am surviving on Tramadol 100 ER, with supplements of 25 mg when needed. It totals to 125-150 mg daily...

Thanks for your response. …clearer now. I can’t imagine what you have been through. Good luck to you. I will certainly look into iron. Somewhere.

Re: Ropin-a-ROLLIN over me like a semi truck

Thanks for your input. It sounds complicated. I want to check I read your info correctly…you augmented on pramipexole but still take it, on and off, along with iron infusions. Is that correct? As for me…I am terrified of going back on pramipexole. It was too difficult to get off it. But it may be an...
