Re: My journey to 100% relief

Hi Jim, Thanks for your quick response! I wouldn't say it has been too much trouble since I just started the diet a week ago, I am pushing it from what others have said! I did not know that fluoride was an issue with pesticide residue, I used to purchase organic until the market took a turn, but now...

Re: My journey to 100% relief

Hello all and Jim, I wanted to let you know how I was doing on the low-O diet! I have been on it a week, but to be honest, I am a meat and potatoes, veg, some pasta, bread, and dessert kind of household so giving up some of the food was not too hard, the potatoes have been the hardest. I have stayed...

Re: My journey to 100% relief

I find your theory interesting. I cook with well water and drink spring water, though the spring water does come in plastic jugs. I have been trying to eliminate plastic from my life as I believe plastic is the bain of our lives. When we started to package everything in plastic it seemed, and I am n...

Re: My journey to 100% relief

Hi Jim, I know your post is a few years old, but I am hoping you are still willing to discuss your low oxalate diet journey. I have read your previous posts, on this thread and others, and read about the low oxalate diet on other forums and the web to get to know what the diet is all about and how i...

Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

I've read where some people put the electrodes on their legs, I guess on trigger points. I didn't have any luck with that. Just seemed to set off my nerves worse. Maybe if I'd had professional instruction it would have helped. At any rate, I found when I put the electrodes on my lower back (buttock...

Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

I have had a spinal stimulator for 2 years. I think it helps. After it's put in, you will have movement restrictions for 2 months, until the areas heal. Good luck Debbie, Thank you for your response, it is nice to know that this is helpful and to hear from someone who has it. Are you still on any m...

Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

Thank you for your response it makes very much sense as I have been using various methods of movement when my legs act up, or putting a tens machine on my legs at night to help me sleep. I believe I will try the trial. There is also a great paper on transcutaneous spinal direct-current stimulation ...

Re: My Ten Steps to complete from RLS and to amazing good health

Hello Jim, I am coming late to your thread, but I am very interested to learn if you are still RLS-free? I am at the end of all medical therapies and found your thread about diet, and with the list of food items it looks like a diet I can adopt and actually like. I live in the country on a well, so ...

Re: Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

Melissa, the root cause for most of us with RLS is a deficiency of iron in a specific part of the brain. Some of us can have high iron, but also a genetic issue that limits iron transport from the blood into the brain, which is where it is needed. So it is possible to have very high ferritin levels...

Spinal Cord & DRG Stimulator Trial

Hello, I have been through all the medication treatments, the last was methadone, I did not like Methadone so asked to go off of it within 24 hours. I am currently on two drugs, tramadol 300 mg and gabapentin 100 mg at bedtime and 100 mg when I wake, (I don't take this often), and 75 mg three times ...
