Re: Abilify

As someone who also augmented on Mirapex and I am also on oxy I am very interested in how you do on this Abilify! Please keep updating your progress. If this works, I will bring this up to my doctor at my next 6 month appointment!

Good luck ~ Lissa

I am so happy for you that you were able to get the meds you need and the dose! Happy you don't have to go to PM as they have much sticker rules and make your life a little harder! Good luck!

Re: Any Helpful Guidelines for an Augmented DA patient Switching to Methadone?

As someone who also has issues due to taking opioids, I also take magnesium, starting at 250 mgs and now up to 500 mgs at night and that seems to help to keep my BM's pretty normal. Good luck Lissa

Re: SPINAL STIMULATOR STOPS RLS?

I was asked if I wanted to have one installed as I was a candidate and after much research chose against it. I would suggest now that these have been on the market for many years you do some research and decide if it is something you want in your body and if it is worth it. As Debbis say she still n...

Re: Where do I go from here?

That is wonderful! I suggest having your neurologist copy their notes and send them to your PM with this strong recommendation. I know the PM usually sends their notes back to your neuro, so I don't see why the neuro cannot send their notes to your PM! I wonder why your neuro is not prescribing the ...

Re: Where do I go from here?

Hey, if your treatment has any steroids in it, I could see it making your legs worse. I was on a treatment that had steroids and it made my legs worse, as you said not the bouncy legs the creepy crawly achy want to cut them off pain. I hope you can get on the Ox ER and they don't cut down your other...

Re: Melatonin added to the mix

I was taking 3 mgs for a while, dissolvable, and it was helpful. I think I was one of the lucky ones as it did not bother my RLS.

Re: Where do I go from here?

Would your doctor be willing to put you on an extended-release Oxy? It is a little bit more expensive but worth it as it would get you through the night, they only come in 10mg and higher though. I would ask your doctor if they would be willing to put you on a nighttime Oxy ER and see if they are wi...

Hi all, For those needing info about tooth decay, there is/was a lawsuit against the makers of suboxone for this issue. If you are considering or are on this medication I would suggest googling tooth decay lawsuit suboxone and finding out more about this issue so you can get your ducks in a row if y...

Re: Methadone

Not on methadone, but when my oxy immediate release couldn't get me through the night I was switched to oxycontin ER which is an extended-release, and that has allowed me to get through the night.

I purchased a Quell on the advice of my Sleep Medicine doctor it made absolutely no difference now I see it's been taken off the market as not effective.
That is too bad, was hoping it would work!

I tried to get it too and my doctor wouldn't prescribe it either. Dr was worried as it is an anti-platlette. Would love to try it though.

Re: St Johns Wort - Antidepressant

I couldn't tolerate sertraline because of various side effects. I had a number of antidepressants over the years, the ones I tolerated (didn't worsen RLS) were trazodone and valdoxan (Agomelatine), but neither did anything for my mood. I guess both helped a bit falling asleep for some time but not ...

Re: St Johns Wort - Antidepressant

Lissa, so you had a negative effect from Sertraline after only 3 days. I guess it's a good thing that it showed itself quickly. I'm at 4 weeks today and no negativity (so far). Thank you for taking time to let me know. Yes, my system is very sensitive to medications and I can usually tell in a few ...

Re: New-Asked to post about treatments

Thank you Steve-I will contact the pain management doctor. I am currently taking 200mg of Tramadol daily (not XR). The doctor seemed hesitant to increase the Tramadol dose but the RLS symptoms are out of control which of course worsens the pain. Hi IndyRPh, How long have you been on the tramadol? I...
