Re: new to site old to rls

Hi Mapleleaf I take Mirapex .125 mg. My dr had me take Mirapex before the onset of rls. I take it now at 12 noon, 3 pm and 6 pm. It seems to work; however at the 12 noon it sometimes still starts about a half an hour after I take the pill. I usually walk around to stop the rls and most of the time i...

Re: new to site old to rls

Hi Mapleleaf and welcome to this site. As far as what is available, you would have to check with your dr. Do you have a dr that understands rls, and if so, he is willing to work with you. That is so important. I also am on Mirapex and have had rls for over thirty (30) years. I am sure you will get o...

Re: I am back, It's stitch!!!!!

Hey Stitch how are you doing? It is good to see you back again. So sorry about your back but glad the Mirapex is working for your RLS. I am also on Mirapex and most of the times it does work but you know how this disease can rear its ugly head whenever it wants to. Were you in the process of selling...

Re: Not new to RLS or the discussion board

I have joined a Celiac Support Group on the internet and they are very helpful. The best person that I received information from is my sister as she was diagnosed over 20 yrs ago. She was also a Support Group Leader for about 15 yrs. She is no longer a support group leader but did receive a lot of g...

Tracy, that is scary. I hope that you do not have Celiac and if you do, you are getting the right info from your physician..

Re: Not new to RLS or the discussion board

Ann what you are saying is so true. I did not think that I had it as I did not have diarrhea; however was extremely constipated and that is definitely one of the symptoms. This disease is very hard to diagnose and it is true that so many go undiagnosed. My younger sister has it and it is definitely ...

Re: Not new to RLS or the discussion board

Thanks Ann. I am sorry to hear that your husband has Celiac too so you definitely know what I am going through. I am doing much better as there is so many more gluten free foods out there then it was a long time ago. Hope that you are doing good too.

Oh Woodsie thank you for sharing that with us. I am so sorry for what you had gone through but am happy that your hubby is back working, doing good and that you are doing so much better too. As far as depression, I can understand. I never went as far as wanting to commit suicide but when I would go ...

I wouldn't wish RLS on anyone, not my worst enemy (as far as I know I don't have any)... But I wish EVERYONE had it for 1 full week every night. I wish this because unless you've experienced it first hand you just can't get it. Best of luck to you all!!! I have often said let them walk in my shoes ...

Hi Betty I, myself, do take clonazapem and in the beginning I was taking 1mg and decided to go off of it cold turkey which is something THAT YOU SHOULD NEVER DO. I was up for seven (7) nights with no sleep except 1/2 a night for seven nights and my rls was in overdrive. My neurologist that I have no...

Re: Clonazapam?? AGAIN

I was on clonazapam several years ago for my RLS. I had to keep increasing my dosage and afterwards was switched to Mirapex plus a sleeping pill (Zopiclone) about a year ago. I often am not able to sleep in the last 6 mos and want to go off Zopiclone. Now I'm wondering if I could go back on Clonaza...
