Thanks KBear!

Help!?! I am in the Dayton, Cincinnati Ohio area...

Is there anyone out there who has found a doc who understands the idiosyncrasies of RLS?

I'm desperate!

Sue

(I'm going to post a couple of other places also)

Have a question - and maybe this is just how things go on the forum - I realize everything in 'so frustrated' fits together, from beginning to end, and am so thankful that I took the time to read all of the posts, yet I could have easily missed the help toward the end if I had not been diligent enou...

A couple of things..... It sounds like I'm going to be facing some tough times with this fiasco, so I appreciate your telling your stories Susan. They are good 'hand in there' stories, first-hand. Could not find my Mirapex tonight, so took half a vicadin...guess I'll see how that works, huh? Ann...s...

OK - you have given me so much to go on. Forgot to add that I'm on 3mg. Mirapex a day. Thanks for the 'script'. It put in writing - in order - a lot of what I already knew - but did not know how to get across. I'll put it together - on paper - this weekend. One for the asst. and one for the dr. Don'...

? doubting myself ?

Just finished reading all the posts under "Am so frustrated'......Some good information there. Interesting to read about not going overboard on a combination that works...i will need to remember that!! Also remember walking in our hall at night because if I would go to sleep i would at least fall ag...

RLS, the wind & sailing

I have spent quite a bit of time here the last couple of days.........and am so impressed and touched with how some of you are handling several other serious health issues in addition to the rls. Reminded me of a favorite saying....so am passing it on...... "It's not the gale..... But the set of the...

THANKFUL ! ! Thanks nancyhugh for sharing, and reminding me of that attitude once again. I'll stick you in my prayers for awhile. I am often around people in wheelchairs and am aware that at least my legs work - they work overtime - but they work. ViewsAskew, what valuable information. I'm so glad y...

Am so glad you replied.........thanks! Found some very interesting info. online about dopamine . Isn't that one of the issues with rls? "L-Tyrosine. This is an amino acid (protein) that the body uses to synthesize dopamine and norepinephrine, the two neurotransmitters believed to be involved in ADD ...

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and crazy legs related?

"Help me! Help me! sir, she said......Befor my family shoots me dead!" Have had rls most of my life and am 65 years old. Been on medication for many years. Sure as heck don't want to start taking meds for ADD also! I've learned that the busier I keep my mind, the less my crazy legs bother me. After ...

Until I read your question I never considered that the augmentation from taking Requip may have continued, even though I no longer take Requip. It makes perfect sense now.......... I was blaming it on the Mirapex that I am on now. I had been on Permax for 5 - 6 years and my dr. wanted to change. Whe...

Topomax with Mirapex ?

Have spent the last 2 hours here and am 'fortified' now! When I told my neuro that I was having trouble with my legs during the day now and asked him about Vicadin (explaining that others with RLS found relief) he said he didn't want to give me that because I would be 'depending' on it and that is n...

Reading these posts for the last hour has given me the "uumph!" I need to talk to my neuro again. This time I will have a lot more ammunition! Last time I was in I requested some Vicadin explaining that other RLS sufferers had said it helped them a lot. Only after reading here, did I realize he also...
