Question regarding buprenorphine

I’ve been hearing a lot about this drug and think it may help me. I was taking methadone, but side effects made me switch to hydrocodone. Then the sh** show happened with everyone panicking over opioids that made it impossible to stay with it. So I weened off, but it’s been over 4 years and it’s jus...

Re: RLS and ADHD

i have ADD and RLS along with panic/social anxiety. I was taking Adderall 10mg for quite some time and then my doctor wanted me to try modafinil. initially, i was on 200mg in the am, but found that i really only needed 100mg and that would work for me. I would not take it if it was after 10am cause ...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

thanks everyone for the support, I don't know what I'd do without this discussion board. You are all the greatest. I'm feeling better today, just a bit edgy due to trying to extend the klonopin out till my other doctor appointment. I really do not want to ask my family doctor for a refill, in fact I...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

well I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks this is crazy. The part that makes me furious is that it is making my panic/social anxiety WORSE and my RLS WORSE having to worry about getting cut off the medications that have been working for me for over 20 years. The doctor that wants me to hav...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

ok, thought I'd update everyone since it's been awhile. My psychiatrist has not issue writing the one medication as I mentioned in an earlier post. So that went well. to answer the question on WHY the drug test, it is to make sure you are taking them and not selling them. Also, the drug counting mak...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

yay! kidney stone passed! Good news from my one doctor. He prescribed one of my meds without a drug test and wrote 3 scripts ahead. He was baffled as to why my other doctor would not write the script. He said there is nothing preventing them from doing so, but he assumes that like many other doctors...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

ViewsAskew, yes the ACLU does have a case they filed on Jan 8th. I'm hoping that this will solve the whole problem. I have no problem, going to my doctor and picking up my script and/or having to see them four times a year if necessary. While it will cost me more money, at least I'm not humiliated. ...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

I guess I should have been more clear on the Obamacare comment. What I meant was that the GOP kept using Obamacare to scare everyone that it would get between you and your doctor. Which of course it doesn't. It's now the state and FDA coming between me and my doctor. It's basically comes down to thi...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

thank you for all your support. it does help, at least to have someone to talk to who understands what we go through. I guess the hardest part for me is that moving forward I have to choose between having to deal with two drug tests from two different doctors, plus insurance not paying for them, plu...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

I agree. I know the aclu has a lawsuit filed in regards to the drug testing. However, even if they win, I'll still have to do the pill count and schedule 4 apts a year. The doctors don't like it either as they feel they have to play cop. It's very distressing like you said, it's bad enough living wi...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

yes, it is crazy. I don't mind following the schedule II laws as I did this when I was taking methadone, however, I had to pick up my script from the doctors office every month. It's just the states over reaction to a problem that they think will solve, but it won't, however, it looks good for them ...

hydrocodone and new prescription laws

I live in indiana and they passed a new law that physicians that prescribe opioids must follow. This includes mandatory drug test, must be seen once every 4 months, and sign a treatment agreement with your doctor as well as random pill counts (where they can randomly call you and you have to take yo...

I suffered severe nausea from my opioid meds. reading alot about how cannabis works for nausea and for RLS, I asked my doctor and I now take Marinol. It helps for both my nausea and for my RLS. I really had to push on my doctor to prescribe it, but i've been taking it for almost 4 years now with no ...

I was on that medication for almost a year and it didn't go anything for my RLS I wish it would have. I also was taking Deplin. If you don't get good results for managing your depression, ask your doctor about Deplin. It's considered a 'medical food', it helps for some people who do not process vita...

Beth, The iphone and I believe ipod Touch (later models) and iPad all have a built in accelerometer built into the phone. What this does is detect any type of motion (which includes tilting one way or another). So if you are moving around alot in bed, it will detect that motion from your mattress. W...
