Andy I wish I could give you my Tramadol. I have about 100 pills at home and have always had a really negitive reaction to them so they're useless to me. I hope you're finding them to be helpful. I ran out of Lyrica on Friday and have sure appreciated it's value, even if somewhat minimal, since then...

Welcome Rebecca, I can relate to your experience thus far. I currently take Lortab and Lyrica for rls symptoms. Unfortunately Lortab is the only thing that eliminates the symptoms for me completely but does so for only a very short time. I definitely know what you mean about needing more. I also hav...

Hopefully it will be great Andy. I've heard lots of great stories of it's benefits. It's weird for me. I remember taking darvocet a long long time ago for some injury or something and my legs were really uncomfy and I felt all jittery like I had way too much caffeine. Same thing with Tramadol. I thi...

Good point Andy, and I'll need to keep moving quickly on my list because I need a doctor asap. I'll inquire first about weather or not the nurse knows if the dr. even has any experience with or knowledge of rls. If she's not sure about that then I know she'll probably want to ask the doctor first an...

I'm with Josh on that. I fell in love with the eliptical machine and it works out the tightness in my legs wonderfully but I can imagine the brutal, tight cramps that would probably result from running. My calves are always way too sore to even think about any kind of high impact leg excersize like ...

Andy, I take Lyrica (same drug as neurontin) and I've taken ultram with it and it doesn't seem to affect anything. The clonazepam will make you sleepy so that combo might knock you out until you get used to it. Ultram has very negitive effects on me but I take one once in a while out of desperation ...

Amen to that Andy. I live in the northwest burbs. Towns near and near west of o'Hare would be pretty convenient to me but if you know of a gem I'd be willing to travel! I just literally went through the yellow pages online writing down family practice doctors near me. My plan is to (since i'm uninsu...

Dee, You're fantastic. Thanks for your efforts. I'm working on getting together a list of doctors to call and see what kind of vibe I get: family physicians, dr's who claim to be familiar with rls, nuero's, etc. I'll put those on my list. Hopefully I'll get a good feeling from one right away and wil...

God bless ya if alcohol doesn't aggravate your rls. I won't encourage you to "medicate" yourself in that fashion too often either but at least you can HAVE a few drinks without waking up in tears clutching at your legs for dear life! Or at least if you're rls is real bad sometime you can nip it with...

I have found that orgasm completely relieves my rls symptoms for a short amount of time. It's a great sleep aid when I can achieve it with sex at the end of the night and fall asleep blissfully. Maybe it releases extra dopamine, maybe it's the euphoria. I dont know but I'll take it! What better way ...

Andy, Thanks so much for your well wishes but unfortunately I was slapped by my doctor with the worse case scenario. It was a nightmare. You can read about the whole visit in the "newbie" post. I feel defeated but I'm mustering positive energy and I am determined to find a good doctor. Good luck to ...

Also Josh, I saw her at her private practice so I'm not sure there's any kind of higher-up there. I know that she does work at the Hospital in town though because that is where I met her. I will definitely look into reporting her to the IMA. My dad told me immediately that I should be writing a lett...
