Yes the pain meds help, but that's already known. I've been taking percocet. 2 tablets every 4 hours. That's alot and I don't recommend it to anyone looking to relieve RLS. 1 before bed would be ok and probably work too. Prior to my accident the water cure was still working for me. I just have to dr...

6 weeks with no symptoms
The title is a bit misleading, but I have been without symptoms for that long. 6 weeks ago I fell down the stairs in my house and broke my tibia. I had surgery to place a rod and 4 pins and have been living on pain meds. I've been pretty depressed lately, mostly due to having to stay in the house im...

Hi there! Well I'm no doctor but it certainly sounds like RLS. It very well may just be stress and muscle cramps from your workouts though. You did not mention how old you were or how long this has been going on. Based on my experience, RLS doesn't just pop up over night, it starts when you are pret...

Ok then! Here it is. I've had RLS as long as I can remember, of course we didn't have a name for it back then. I just called it my "jumpy legs". At first it was just hard for me to sit still in cars, and class rooms. I was constantly bouncing my legs and at night I just twisted and turned alot. As I...

Would it do you any good to get a Quality of life statement from me if I don't take any meds? Also in my 30 years of dealing with RLS I've only sought a physician twice and both times I was lucky enough to find some that knew about it. I think it helps that I usually try and find younger doctors as ...

It's definitely true that different things work for different people, probably depends alot on how severe your case is. I know for a fact that I have RLS though I've had it for about 30 years now. It's obviously not as severe as some of you, even though I have it probably 5 out of 7 nights. I don't ...

Hi John, It was immediate! And I know it helps because just this last week we moved into our new house and I didn't drink any water all day because I was so busy. I was so dehydrated that day that I felt dizzy. When I tried to go to bed my legs were jumping so badly I thought I was going to go crazy...

Water anyone?
Hi all! I've just discovered your forums. Here's a bit of history for you. I've had RLS for as long as I can remember, I'm 44 now. I've taken Lortab ( I'm off the Lortab now because its so addictive). I've also been prescribed Requip for it (only took 2 doses of Requip, it just scared me) I also rem...
