TENS unit
Someone suggested this device to me as a possible solution. Has anyone on the board tried it? Any luck with it?

Excellent, Nadia! Jumpy, thankfully, I can say truthfully that I have never intentionally been cruel or vicious. My primary purpose for my first post on this thread was to address a question that might possibly be in the minds of some guests or readers of this board. I have no problem at all calling...

Hi, Jan. I don't know if you were addressing me, but I certainly was not offended. I'm in this boat for the long haul and was just looking for a little debate on the issue. Yeah, I agree with you. It is semantics. However it's labelled, it's not a nice thing to have. We are lucky to have this board.

Hi, Jan. I've enjoyed reading your posts. I hope you are doing okay today. I don't have leg cramps or pain. Just the uncontrollable urge to 'move'. My husband tells me my legs jerk when I'm asleep, too. With my new medicinal 'cocktail' at night I don't find the need to tie myself up anymore but I st...

Ethnic breakdown?
Does anyone know of any research done on whether or not certain ethnic groups have this disorder more frequently than others? ie: Asian, Caucasian, Black, Jewish, American Indian, etc. No prejudice here. Just curiousity.

Self torture
Greetings! As a few others have mentioned recently, I too, was directed here by 'Dear Abby'. I wonder how much traffic that particular letter has generated for the board. I am a 56 year old female and have suffered with RLS for approximately 15 years. My father had it and was a miserably poor sleepe...
