Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

but main effect for me was feeling "more normal" in the day time. I don't know any more what is normal, am I normal or not? It is bound to be that my normal is not what should be my (non RLS) normal. Too many things to think of and remember in order to get through the day/night with a sem...

Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

legs - thank you for confirming you are still without the creepy crawleys. I was reading this and wondering if I was reading it properly. The most significant benefit was that I felt better during the daytime - more ‘myself’ - and this has persisted even after discontinuing dipyridamole. Oh my, your...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Oceanwalker you say you are on 4 Ropinerole per day, down from 8 per day. What dosage are your Ropinerole pills? And what dosage Codeine are you using to help withdraw from Ropinerole. In a way I was perhaps fortunate that my original GP (who has left) admitted that he knew little about RLS because ...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

Regarding educating doctors in particular with regard to RLS have you done research on this discussion board, looked at the various documents listed in the Just Joined - A Good Place to Start Managing RLS/WED. Also research on the RLS Foundation Site as they have various Publications, some of them a...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

chuas2 - your GP isn't up to speed with the RLS medications when refusing to prescribe anything except ropinerole. The anti seizure medications are now considered worth trying first and even my own GP is aware of this and would not prescribe Ropinerole as first line. Changed days of course from a fe...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Referring back to my post of 16 May when I saw my new GP and she agreed to increase my Codeine allowance to assist my Ropinerole reduction. This is the first ever increase that I have asked for. This week my prescription was due and should include my increase, in my excitement of getting an agreed i...

Re: Rotating Meds

Just like badnights, my now non existent stash had been chipped away and the lack of the security of a stash does leave its mark. As my GP of many years has moved on and I am literally at the beginning of a new GP relationship I find myself (at least in my own head) having to 'make my case' or perha...

Re: Weaning off medications

I am currently slowiy weaning myself of a DA and have been doing so for about 8 months. There is no way a non medication approach would ever provide sufficient relief to allow me to be medication free. This is generally the case for most RLS sufferers, certainly those who have more than mild random ...

Re: Rotating Meds

Deb - I always try to have a stash. At present my codeine stash is depleted. My GP has agreed to provide extra but I'll be happier when I get my prescription next week as it's not clear just how much xtra she will give me each month. She has confirmed I can take up to x but has also said that she do...
