Credit Crunch

Well... the credit crunch is getting closer. I have felt fortunate cos we have no debt and can live reasonably comfortably. The credit crunch so far has been not too unkind to us. OK, our nest egg for retirement has been badly affected, but we have tried not to worry cos what can we do?? When we see...

Hi Andy My GP is my best ally - see Views quote below: My family doc was best....in one way. He listened, he talked to Dr. B, he tried. But, he didn't ever research it himself (sort of relied on me) so when things stopped working so well, it was up to me to suggest things. I can do that, but it's no...

Hi Andy, here's hoping you got some sleep last night. It is so awful to be having such a bad time as you are going through - good luck with your tests today.

Good luck with the meds. I can say that at present I am having the best cover ever, since changing to the tramadol. You deserve a good meds regime.

Thanks for the link Zach.

Nadia, Dr B told me that codeine was no way the best opiate for rls. He suggested tramadol.

Moonlight, sorry 'its' back. Like Zach says, what about a change from the codeine. I showed doc algorithm and asked for tramadol instead of the codeine and he went with it. It has worked so well. On the weekend past I had a car trip of 6 hours on Friday, and same returning yesterday, without a probl...

Some doc.... I don't think. As for a prescription for the ranitidine, here in UK we can buy that OTC from our local chain supermarket at .75 dosage x 12 pills for around £1.50, thats probably $2. Lady doc needs educated. Can they just put down that they are an 'expert' in rls, regardless of their ex...

A couple of years ago I tried this rls oil from this company. Paid for it to be shipped to the UK. It did nothing at all for my rls. I even ordered a second bottle... to be sure..... still nothing. Well there was one bonus, all this oil getting rubbed around the lower spine meant soft and smooth but...

I have rls 24/7 but it is worse in the evenings. If you check, there are about 4 critera for a 'diagnosis'. And it is unlikely to go away on its own, unless the rls is being caused by some medication that you are taking and have rls as a side effect. There is wonderful information on this forum. goo...

Hi Keana I have rls 24/7 and have been a sufferer for over 30 years. I take 3mg requip throughout the 24 hours and supplement with tramadol (Ultram) in the evening followed by a sleep aid around midnight. This helps a great deal. And I am sorry the requip did not work for you. I cannot believe that ...

Yes Brian, I use Tramadol 50mg, one at around 6.30pm and another at around 10.30pm. Together with the requip this is the best relief I can remember having. Still occasional breakthrough but very little/ I haven't been aware of any 'buzz' such as Zach mentions, and didn't know that it had any anti -d...
