I can have cold feet and will still have rls symptoms. The cold water on the legs for about 20 minutes is different.

Brian, one thing that did work for me before meds..... I filled a bucket with water as cold as possible and sat with my feet in it, splashing the water up to my knees. For about 20 minutes. This worked not too badly, cut the symptoms sometimes long enough to get over to sleep. Hmmm.. Jules and Sandy...

Hi Brian I am over in N.Ireland, so use the same health system as yourself. My doc was happy to look at the Mayo Algorithm and works with me. I take requip and tramadol plus a sleeping aid. Yes, I went to him with the Algorithm printout, almost humble and cap in hand, hoping he wouldn't be offended....

What about emailing Dr B. He answers questions very quickly. His contact is somno@verizon.net and he has questions/answers at rls.org. He is based at the Mayo Clinic. You could tell him what meds you are on and your rls and other medical history and see what he says. The when you return to your psyc...

There is a link to the Mayo Algorithm at the bottom of Zach's posts.

I think perhaps Views had a link on her posts.

No doubt someone will very quickly give you a definite link.

Ann, you must have felt like jumping up and down, drumming your heels, kicking doc's desk   only thing is, doc would really have felt you needed a psychiatrist.

I get relief from requip and tramadol. Not 100%, but not bad (apart from the odd glitch).
Also, I don't have access to a support group, or an rls expert. But, my doc works through the Mayo Algorithm which I took to him, and that is a big bonus.

Yes, Nadia, I was watching this on the news and thought of you.
We are thinking of everyone down there who is near the fires, has lost anyone. It is a terrible time.

Oh... and may you and your son have a fabulous time. I know a young lad who many years ago was swimming in the special olympics and had the time of his life.

Hi Moonlight, glad you got the journey sorted to suit you. I recall, two years ago, I had a 9 hour flight from London Heathrow to Edmonton Canada !!! The aisles did not allow for movement as they seemed always to have a trolley somewhere. I wept silently for a good part of the journey and in the end...
