Re: Burning in arms and legs in early morning

Ihoff12085 - you mention burning, have you ruled out neuropathy. I have had burning (neuropathy) to a greater or lesser extent over the past 15 years but during the past year it got to be more severe and persistent. My GP prescribed Pregabalin to support my reduction of Ropinerole and I've had the a...

Re: Side Effect? A warm, dull, heavy feeling in calves at night

Ihoff12085 you mention burning, I have this on my feet and legs and it would appear to be neuropathy. Sometimes worse than others. It is much better since my GP prescribed Pregabalin to support my Ropinerole reduction.
Just a thought.

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

I am reducing ropinerole and it appalls me that your GP has said this. I am speechless!! To have reduced and then be told this. Also, where I live we cannot readily change our GP so I truly understand your frustration. To lie to a doctor goes against the grain but i'm with Holland and Ann on this. W...

Re: I'm finally getting an infusion

Beth.... I really do believe you did the right thing going ahead with your (very expensive) iron transfusion. To not have done so would have left you forever wondering....what if? I'm with you on the logic - about preparing for the possible distant future when its at the cost of our present wellbein...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Ok.... I've been on .75mg ropinerole for quite a few days having dropped the 3am dose. Been using the kratom to replace this dose by taking half teaspoon about 12.30am and another half teaspoon at 3am. Total 2 grams. This doesn't seem to be enough as on occasion I've had to take some codeine to sort...

Re: Referral to medical marijuana dispensary experts

I'm sure you have looked into all your options but wouldn't it be wonderful if you could avail of a dispensation of some sort. That your RLS could be recognised as a condition requiring support whereby you could work to your own timetable. Not exactly your own timetable........ but you know what I m...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

*Eternityroad* i am a very new user of Kratom. I am successfully weaning off ropinerole and am now in the last stages. in the last week or so I have introduced kratom to so far replace one of my remaining doses of ropinerole. Like you my doctor is unaware I'm using it. It is illegal where I live but...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Holland, no worries, my dose is half a teasp at bedtime and again during the night. I'm actually thinking of trying just the one dose during the night. This is in place of the DA that I used to take during the night. It appears to work well though not so much for sleep. I have a GP appointment for t...

Re: New to RLS forum

Welcome and it's good to hear that our discussion board has provided useful information and support. You are very wise to keep your pramipexole dose as low as possible as it is one of the drugs that can cause augmentation. If there ever came a time that it no longer worked efficiently for you, there...
