Re: nerve injury

Having augmented twice on a DA I'm surprised that you're back on it again.
Are you on a very low dose of Ropinerole.

Have you used gabapentin before, I'm wondering how recently you started it as often an unwanted side effect will quickly disappear.

Re: How long to wean off ropinirole?

I took about 10 monhs to slowly wean of a total of 5mg Ropinerole daily while supported by Codeine and Lyrica with the occasional Kratom. Off it now about 7 months.
By taking it so slowly I seemed to avoid any awful withdrawal symptoms.

Re: I THINK I HAVE IT FIGURED OUT!!!

""" I have been on Mirapex 3mg's three times a day for years """ Jar, the above quote from your post is what I read and considered that you were on 3mg x 3 times a day = 9mg. So you are no longer on this dosage. Be careful though, 1mg daily is the top end for Mirapex dosage. It's great that your res...

Re: I THINK I HAVE IT FIGURED OUT!!!

Jar, Are you still taking your Mirapex?
I am falling asleep and fighting to keep my eyes open but Just want to say that your dosage of Mirapex is way too high.... Like way over 9 times the accepted daily dose.
You Will have to deal with this.

Your name is Jar :)

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS

Icantsleep - I also use Codeine and Lyrica to control my rls symptoms. As my rls is 24/7 I take the Codeine starting at breakfast time. Only 15mg at breakfast. 30mg at lunchtime. 60mg at 5pm and 60 mg at 9pm. Occasionally 15 or 30mg during the night. Constipation does not appear to be an issue. I al...

Re: Stopping Gabapentin

Possibily the Gabapentin was helping to control your RLS symptoms. When you came off the Gabapentin you lowered/stopped a medication that was helping your RLS symptoms.

Re: Inconsistent Sleep Quality

The title refers to inconsistent sleep quality. Mine isn't exactly inconsistent, the pattern is quite consistent, just inconsistently bad in the same general pattern. I sleep for an hour or so around 1am. Then I'm up until 6am or 7. Often I don't go back to sleep at all. Recently I've been napping d...

Yes since coming off ropinerole I find I don't eat so much when awake at night. It used to be ridiculous what i could get through during this time. I am still awake at night but not feeling the same need.
Also during the day I'm not grazing the same between meals.

Re: Is it worth scrapping ever tiny bit of caffiene?

Interesting about the tea/tannins.
For 50+ years I have taken my tea black, without milk.
At present it's only about two cups daily, the rest of the time I take decaf coffee.
The second link says that iron was reduced by about 1/3 by the tea drinkers.
I'm surprised that it was as much as 1/3.
