Re: Scare

I would have been the same, full panic, if I was left without one of my rls medications. I have a one hour round trip drive to pick up.

One of the reasons I don't move to a medical practice nearer to me is in case a new GP decided to 'adjust' my medications.

Sorry your mother had another fall, it's a worry.

The article about grief.... I absolutely get it.

Re: What’s working for me

My RLS symptoms are quite well under control. It took many years to reach this stage trying so many different combinations of medications. However I still have the insomnia. At a recent neurologist appointment it was considered that I may have sleep apnea causing the awakening after about 2 hours. I...

Re: New member with a few questions

Beth has mentioned that along with pregabalin I use codeine. Just to confirm I use pregabalin 200mg x 2, i.e. morning and evening. I have Codeine 15mg x 14 daily. When on ropinerole they were spread over the 24 hours, less in the morning and more in the evening and during the night. Since stopping t...

I haven't seen enough to convince me that the high cost of a good weighted blanket was worth taking a chance.

Re: New member with a few questions

I weaned myself of Ropinerole 5mg using Codeine and Pregabalin (which is similar to Gabapentin). As I reduce the ropinerole I started taking the Pregabalin at a low dose. As the ropinerole reduced further I increased the Pregabalin and followed this pattern, the lower the ropinerole the higher the p...

Re: Stay Safe!

Everything is very different at present. As the Corona Virus continues my day to day life, like everyone else's, has done a turnaround. I normally look after my three grandchildren one day each week and have been doing so for 12 years and now they cannot come. On Friday they will finish school for a...

Re: Need advice

What I don't get is why a neurologist would start you on ropinerole at 2mg !! If you did consider taking it you should start at the lowest possible dose. Dr B suggests that the max daily dose should be 1mg even though the provider says up to 4mg daily. Are you going for the infusion and how long wou...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

It has been a long time since I posted in this thread and can give an update having met (private appointment) with my Neurologist yesterday, Monday 9 March. My husband George came with me and came into the appointment with me. I was happy for George to see and hear the Consultant and me not to have ...

We also changed to a memory foam mattress, much better.

There have been other members who have commented on the benefits of adjusting their bed in various ways.
