Re: B 12 levels

Yankiwi ..... you mention dividing a .25mg pill into two. Do you have success doing this?
I am prescribed Adartel (ropinerole) and the pill is dome shaped, so difficult to split. The cutter slides over it and all sorts of random measures are scattered as a result.

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Thank you Ann and Beth I had the one good night on the extra 100mg Pregabalin and the following two nights although the extra helped with the burning it hasn't cleared it completely. And sleep was also only helped on the first night of the extra, back now to the usual pattern. The burning like it is...

Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

Beth, honestly i'd keep trying for one of the names in which you have confidence. Perhaps Dr Benjamin is worth seeing but you would like reassurance of this. Would an email to Dr B be worthwhile to ask him if he knows of her. Or actually, would it cost much more to do a return flight down to Dr B an...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Having been prescribed an increase in Codeine from 10 x 15mg daily to 14 daily, I am taking 12 daily. Together with my 150 Pregab x 2, and my reduced Ropinerole at 1.5mg. However, even with the increase in Codeine all is not great. Symptoms are more troublesome and oh my, the burning on the tops of ...

Re: Nonmedication strategies for RLS by Shalini Paruthi,MD

I would imagine that the sensation from the theragesic provides a distraction to the symptoms you have from RLS. I have on occasion, when feeling desperate, used Bio-Freeze for distraction purposes. Your stretch exercises are exactly what is needed to help you back to bed. Mind you, I need to stretc...

Re: Weight Loss

Well, I've had the gain and not much of the loss. Up a clothes size since last summer .... and last summer was the heaviest I'd ever been at that time. That was DAs and eating in the middle of the night..... really eating !! My DA is now well reduced. Pregabalin is known for weight gain and in the l...

Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

but main effect for me was feeling "more normal" in the day time. I don't know any more what is normal, am I normal or not? It is bound to be that my normal is not what should be my (non RLS) normal. Too many things to think of and remember in order to get through the day/night with a sem...

Re: Wahls diet for WED? Trying it.

legs - thank you for confirming you are still without the creepy crawleys. I was reading this and wondering if I was reading it properly. The most significant benefit was that I felt better during the daytime - more ‘myself’ - and this has persisted even after discontinuing dipyridamole. Oh my, your...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Oceanwalker you say you are on 4 Ropinerole per day, down from 8 per day. What dosage are your Ropinerole pills? And what dosage Codeine are you using to help withdraw from Ropinerole. In a way I was perhaps fortunate that my original GP (who has left) admitted that he knew little about RLS because ...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

Regarding educating doctors in particular with regard to RLS have you done research on this discussion board, looked at the various documents listed in the Just Joined - A Good Place to Start Managing RLS/WED. Also research on the RLS Foundation Site as they have various Publications, some of them a...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

chuas2 - your GP isn't up to speed with the RLS medications when refusing to prescribe anything except ropinerole. The anti seizure medications are now considered worth trying first and even my own GP is aware of this and would not prescribe Ropinerole as first line. Changed days of course from a fe...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Referring back to my post of 16 May when I saw my new GP and she agreed to increase my Codeine allowance to assist my Ropinerole reduction. This is the first ever increase that I have asked for. This week my prescription was due and should include my increase, in my excitement of getting an agreed i...
