Re: no prescription for ropinirol

Yes, fear of augmentation by the doctor was what I thought of also, as Rustsmith has said. It would have been better if doctor had explained a little more regarding her decision. Is she now at a loss regarding treatment, hence her suggestion that you should now see a specialist. If she is no longer ...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

Very recently on another thread Trazadone has been mentioned. It would appear to help with sleep, at least initially. Although not without it's negative effects the next day. Or getting used to it. For someone (moi !!) who never sleeps more than a couple of hours continuously, I'm wondering would it...

Re: Requip & Erectile Dysfunction ???

I'm finding it hard to locate much that supports CBD in the RLS treatment. Fortunately I don't seem to be troubled with anxiety or panic attacks.

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

Indeed EeFall, it's really just a way of life for me now. There seems to be nothing in the 'sleep med range' that will work. Haven't tried anything in the herbal range, everything except CBD oil is illegal here and the oil on its own doesn't appear to be a big deal for sleep. So I 'wander lonely as ...

Re: Requip & Erectile Dysfunction ???

With regard to CBD I've been making enquiries about the CBD Oil. Here in UK the CBD Oil is legal but not the THC. As far as I can gather the CBD Oil doesn't do much for the RLS symptoms on its own.
I believe CBD tincture is a liquid that contains a small amount of hemp infusion.

Re: Medical Marijuana

Anything I've read on CBD oil for RLS seems to lean towards needing a small trace of THC for symptoms relief.

I don't sleep either, my medications being of the more tradional type.

You have nothing to lose by trying it out and if you do, we'd be most grateful if you kept us informed of how it worked for you.

Re: TRAZODONE

I read this article saying that Trazodone was seen to help with insomnia for the first two weeks of treatment but it hasn't been checked for the treatment of chronic insomia, i.e. in the long term. Several side effects to be aware of. https://www.consumerreports.org/insomnia/trazodone-for-insomnia-s...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

Oh !! what happy happy joy indeed !! 7 hours sleep. I know that I haven't slept longer than 2 hours at a time, often had no sleep, and never had more that 5 hours fragmented sleep in at least 21 years. I can accurately date at least that far back in my sleep pattern because of a particular event. In...

 Yankiwi - That's actually a nice idea, and write to the Practice as opposed to directly to Dr D.
