Re: Can oxycodone cause poor quality sleep and or daytime sleepiness?

Most opioids will make you sleepy to start with. They can also cause alerting. Perhaps taking it a bit earlier may help. I use Cocodamol at the daily max dose, also pregabalin which is for neuropathy but has the benefit of helping rls, and have no issues. However I've been on them for so long I can'...

Re: Advice for Overnight Flight

I agree that an aisle seat is important. To be able to get up, and up again repeatedly, without climbing over a stranger, is something less to worry about. Same applies in the theatre, movies etc. (In our local theatre Row F has more legroom. I found this by accident, it is not advertised, and so Ro...

Re: Chronic Cough Medication

You have done well do be taking 0.125mg pramipexole for 15 years and not have any issue, probably because it is a low dose. To take only Gabapentin to treat RLS after weaning off the pramipexole, you would have to titrate upwards until you find the sweet spot where it works for you, or isn't working...

Re: Dopamine Agonists, Augmentation and Resetting RLS – What to Expect?

Well done on facing the challenge of weaning off your pramipexole. You speak of addicition, I prefer to think of it as dependancy. An addicition often means taking more of a drug to seek a 'high' whereas dependency is the need of a drug in order to obtain relief. You plan on weaning off your DA/pram...

Re: Iron Panel Testing

An iron panel checks for all sorts and I personally feel it is worthwhile.
For instance, transferrin saturation could be low despite having a normal Ferritin. Transferrin saturation under 20% is indicative of iron deficiency.
