Re: Tramadol while tapering Sinemet

Tramadol also works for me. I use cocodamol as part of my medication cocktail together with ER Tramadol 50mg x 2. For any breakthrough a furthr 50mg tramadol works wonders - this 50mg Tramadol is not now part of my prescription but is part of my stash which is slowly depleting. Previously I was usin...

Very much a poisoned chalice in order to receive appropriate treatment. So many what ifs, with no answers.

Re: Magnesium and CoQ10

I'm cooking Sunday roast dinner for 8 of us for, eating at 4pm. I had 4 hours fractured sleep on Friday night, read a book in bed last night for an hour and got up (have been up ever since). So my last sleep was the 4 hours on Friday. What is particularly striking is that I'm on the ball, roast is i...

Re: Not sure if this is RLS or not

Just as a 'by the by' I wonder if it would be worthwhile getting your ferritin serum level checked. It is a blood test that is not normally done with routine blood works and you need to ask for it. This tells the level of iron stored in your brain – and that is what is important to us sufferers of W...

Re: Evaluating my cognition over time.

I also play the Brainium Solitaire (for the past few months) as it's a quick game and easy to do while walking.
However, I only try to beat my own score and haven't gone beyond that to look at statistics.

Re: Hoping for a better night

2BassetMom - You are prescribed to take your medication every 6 - 8 hours. Just to say that I'd purposly never go beyond the time span for my meds, reason being, that if the symptoms get going and then I take my meds, the meds have to work so much harder and longer to get control. To take the meds o...

Re: Sleeping Arrangements

I always start the night off in the same bed as my husband and we have a memory foam mattress. He never complains about my moving or kicking. However, I rarely would lie in bed with my rls symptoms. As soon as they start I get up. Also when my medications are working well it is not always the creepy...

Propranolol (Inderal) is a beta blocker drug used for high blood pressure, social anxiety, tension, angina, tremors, migraine headache. It is considered to have few side effects. I did a search on Propranolol and its relationship with RLS and could find very little. This is one result: "Propran...
