Re: Esophageal Spasm and RLS

With regard to chest pain I was in A & E twice in the space of two years with suspected heart attack. The chest pain was very severe and lasted approximately 15 minutes and indeed went up into my throat. There was no pain of any sort during the time between these two incidents. Had the camera do...

Re: New to group.

I'm sorry the Wellbruitin is not right for you. A psychiatrist who also specialises in movement disorders sounds qyite a find. I take citalopram 10mg and have done for many years, it seems to work ok (for me). I started Lyrica several weeks ago, starting at 75mg x 2 daily and am now up to 150 x 2 da...

So you are averaging one spasm-free-night per week.
Good luck with your rls as you reduce

Re: Update, Funny but True

The weird thing is I go to work and work 8 hours in a row with hardly any breaks and I have no trouble doing my work. I wonder how I can even function...... EeFall - I can fully understand this state of sleep affairs. Absolutely. I can keep on keeping on.... my husband cannot understand how this is...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Yes, Holland. But I didn't think it would be considered a moderate dose with regard to RLS.
Possibly it was meant as a general comment and not specifically relating to RLS.

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Yes, thanks for that, Ann and Beth. That's how I see it, more or less. Do the taper until I can do it no longer. That's when I will visit my gp looking to jump and seeking whatever guns he is willing to give me. That bit seems quite far ahead just yet. I was surprised at the suggestion to go cold tu...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

I checked with Dr B and he has confirmed that it is ok to come off ropinerole 3.5mg cold turkey, that he often does this with patients. He called it a moderate dose. But that it would need the heavy guns opioid to ease the path. I will taper.
Thanks for your support.

Re: Iron supplementation & Constipation

Never heard of that perineum pressing solution before - it's inspired - so obvious - like slicing bread before selling it - obvious and yet elusive until someone thinks of it. Never did I think I would be discussing this particular aspect of this particular subject.... and be happy to be discussing...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Legs ... How difficult it must have been for you without even Codeine. I applaud you. A family member is a Prescribing Nurse and I have shown her my Meds regime, the Pregabalin, Ropinerole, Codeine. She reckons my GP will increase my Pregabalin at 25mg each time. I am now on 3.5 Rop/100 Pregab. It h...

Jul2873.... wasn't it just as well you mentioned the kratom to the clinic, see how careful they are being. We are often unaware of what interactions might be occurring even with seemingly innocent over the counter stuff or natural products.

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

Legs ....... I have already emailed Dr B and attached a document detailing my daily medical regime. What a star he is. I wrote last night and his reply arrived this morning. Dr B says that I will need methadone or oxycodone which he feels is not readily prescribed here. His alternative suggestion us...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

I spoke wih my GP this morning. He is increasing the Pregabalin from 75mg x 2, to 100mg x 2 daily and I am to ring him in two weeks. If no problems he says we can go up eventually to 300mg x 2. Regarding the Ropinerole, I think he is just happy that at 3.5mg, it is below the 4mg max. (covering his b...
