Re: Success using Chinese herbal preparations.

It's good that my discovery is generating more research. The Shao Yao Gan Cao Tang (Peony & Licorice Combination) was actually recommended by the acupuncturist specifically for RLS. I managed to find a cheaper version than the $60 a week made by hand that he wanted to sell me. When I mentioned B...

Re: Success using Chinese herbal preparations.

They are tiny little pills that look like black pearls, hence the brand name.

Re: Hey, I know you!

My late wife was the Director of a Welfare Agency, and therefore an advocate for the underprivileged here in Canberra (Australia) in her last job. One work morning, we were slumming it in bed with our morning coffee & she received a phone call asking whether she could be at the TV studio in Parl...

Re: Snow

Snow? What's that? Oh, yeah, something they get in the Winter up in the snowfields.

I'm in Australia & we are just finishing Summer. We had a blistering heat wave, up over your century for a week or two & since then, it's been cool with occasional rain.

Success using Chinese herbal preparations.

I recently spent some time being needled by an acupuncturist (yes, pun intended), who also recommended Chinese herbal preparations. Unfortunately, both the treatments and the herbs were too expensive for our limited budget & I haven't been back there for a whiule. However, I did do my research o...

Yeah, I've developed the aching really badly over the last week or so, deep in the muscles, either or both legs. Seems to be triggered by something I have eaten during the afternoon or evening. I use aspirin, but not just any aspirin, it must be coated, don't know why. The Australian Cartia works, a...

Try a 14-hour flight between the US & Australia!

I usually double everything that I normally take & hope for the best.

I also try to fly early in the day if possible, but on one of those, it's going to be "late" at one end or the other.

Madopar 100/25 times 2 each evening, supported by about 40mg of aspirin, followed at bedtime by another 200mg of aspirin. And if they don't settle, more aspirin! Then physically get out of bed & surf the net, primarily so that I am not lying there awake. When my eyes are closing, it's time to tr...

I used Ambien for a period of some months after my second wife died. Often it was the only reason I got ANY sleep. I did eventually have to wean myself off & now I have a similar Australian product called Stillnox for when, like you, I really need it. And as others have said, congratulations on ...

Yes, it's no fun getting off Ambien. I lost my second wife to a brain aneurysm 3 years ago while living temporarily in Seattle (organ donation & all) & the Ambien was the only thing that got me any sleep at all. It was only after I weaned myself off that I realised how tired I had been every...

Nadia,

Onya mate! I'm in Bruce. I've stuck mainly to Reiki in the physical realm, but the spiritual stuff is wide open. Actually there's an interesting piece in the latest newsletter on my website.

Reiki is the transference of the universal life energy (Ki or light energy) through an attuned Reiki practitioner to a person needing to regain health or well being. Reiki brings balance to the human system, clears un-healthful emotions, and restores the natural flow of energy that is essential to ...

Yes, All Calm helped me. It also promotes a much better quality of sleep. But for some reason, I stopped using it a while ago. Lazy, perhaps? Taking too much other "stuff"? Hmm, must go back & try it again. Certainly their delivery is fast, even to the "other side of the world". Just don't overd...
