I'm curious as to how severe Lori's RLS was. I've never heard of anyone being cured, didn't even know it was possible. I've heard of people finding things that cut back on the pain/suffering from RLS, but even the doctors I've talked to said there is no cure. I had over 700 leg movement during my sl...

I bought a latex stearns and foster, with the thick pillowtop and it has really helped me. I was using a mattress that was about 20 years old and it was killer trying to sleep on it. I usually ended up on the couch. I haven't had to make one trip to the couch, I don't know if its the bed or the mira...

sleep study

sorry I haven't been on in awhile, just thought I'd give you guys an update. I went for a sleep study a few months ago, which I dreaded more than anything. But I was about to become a study because my sleeping, if you call it that, had become almost non existant. Anyway, had my sleep study and the r...

latex was what I went with.

and wow, I have never slept so good in my life, my legs aren't as restless either. It might also be the mirapex helping. I laid on alot of beds before finally deciding to buy the latex. It really took a big chunk out of my pocket, but it is WELL worth it.. I was really scared to buy it because I was...

thinking of getting a new mattress............

My sleep is getting worse, I find myself running to the couch more and more now just to get to sleep.. Why is it I can lay in my bed for an hour and toss and turn, then get on the couch and be asleep in 15 minutes? I have a really old mattress, with one of the feather down pads, I think that's what ...

exercising right before bed?

I have not been successful at finding a drug that relieves my RLS. I have to take Lunesta to get to sleep at night. My legs really bother me a few minutes after I lay down and I've found that if I get up and do a bunch of leg lifts on my weight bench, it helps out enough to get me to sleep. Wonderin...

I would suggest talking to your doctor about this. I'd say dropping from 2 to 1.5 last night would prolly be the reason for your problems this morning. I think this is like most any other drugs, you have to wean yourself from it. Before you do anything I would talk to a doctor though. as far as a sl...

I occasionally kick my girlfriend when I'm asleep too. I hate it. She's very understanding and doesn't seem to mind, but I do. I just changed meds though and I'm hoping this will help. I am also a cover thief. LOL. I don't understand it though, because I'm usually hot, I think its from tossing and t...

just a heads up, you might want to take it with a snack. It made me sick whenever I took it on an empty stomach. Good luck with it.

renealh, sorry to hear you haven't had any success in medications. You might want to try over on the Non-Pharmaceutical Therapies board and see if you can find something on accupuncture there. I have seen it talked about, but I can't remember where. Good luck to you and keep us updated on how you ar...

well, restoril doesn't seem to be working for me. I think its more for staying asleep instead of falling asleep, which seems to be my problem. I think I'm going to have to change doctors......again. I feel like i'm talking to a wall. First, he gave me 200 mg Ultram pills which made me higher than a ...

Having worked midnights for 10 years, and having RLS for as long as I can remember, I feel as though I should chime in. First of all, midnight shift is rough to begin with, it will take you months, maybe even years to get used to the sleep schedule. I have always heard it takes years off of your lif...

yeah, first thing he gave me was requip, which I couldn't handle, cold sweats and vomiting and it really didn't help that much, so I tried Neurontin and it seemed to help. Every once in awhile when I don't get much sleep I don't think there is anything that can help my legs..... maybe morphine.........

Debt, someone else from the board asked about indegestion, they said they had started having it since taking Lunesta, I don't have that problem, but I am sure it has different effects on people. As far as sleep aids, have you tried ambien? My dad uses it and after he takes it he is out in about 10 m...

hey squirming, you must not drink that much water..... either that, or I agree, you are a bit weird, lol. j/k I try to drink mostly water and the Lunesta just ruins it. Anyway, it must be nice to be able to like the aftertaste of it. Sure would be easier for me if I like it.
