Re: Methadone on backorder for nearly a month!

I just moved to Sacramento from So Cal (Orange Country). They said there was a shortage when I was here in October. That seems suspect when I have had NO issues in So Cal. I feel for you and hope they resolve this quickly. My script is due today and Dr B just called it in. It will be interesting to ...

Re: Sugar and Chocolate problems

Enough people say that sugar causes issues (and other foods), that it makes me think there must be something in sugar (and the other foods) that changes the gut composition in a way that causes issues. Some of these are temporary, some seem to be longer lasting.

Re: Oxycodone

'Alerting', so that's why I don't like going to bed til 4:00 am. I thought I was just a night owl. I have to take methadone approximately 7-8 hours before I want to be asleep (and I can STILL fight sleep even then). I usually take it by 5 PM to have any hope of getting to sleep by 12 to 1 AM. I too...

Welcome dmalone8

30 March 2024 Welcome, dmalone8, whose RLS began in their mid 30s. Now in their 50s, they've needed medication to help control RLS for about 7 years. As dmalone8 ages, the symptoms and loss of sleep it causes is have a bigger effect. Indeed - many of us find that and I sincerely wish this weren't so...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome

Thanks for the reply..I'm ready to get off this Requip..drop to 1-MG tonight, probably gonna be rough trying to get any sleep once I'm no longer taking any Requip but hopefully the RLS will subside after a few days. I don't know really what to expect or how I'm gonna get to sleep because I can't re...

Re: Melatonin added to the mix

I can say it has NEVER helped the urge to move issues. It helps me sleep. The urge to move is mostly controlled, but the insomnia and wakefulness at night? Those are things I battle with.

Re: Oxycodone & SIBO

Welcome, Trophyman. I think many of us can feel hopeless at times. We're glad you're here and finding information that is helpful. I wish I had something to tell you that would help, but there are so many possibilities, but so far, there is nothing that works for all of us. Many of us just have to f...

Re: Vacation Reprieve

Rust, I know how you feel. I climbed stairs in my PJs at 4 am. Usually 8 floors up and down twice would do it. I dreaded the flight home but in business Came home to a PET scan and found to have No Evidence of Cancer one year after diagnosis and treatment! Trying to get the most out of whatever I h...

Re: Abilify

BTW I found no studies but at least a blog entry that seemed to reasonably explain why Abilify works differently at low doses: https://thoughtbroadcast.com/2011/09/13/how-abilify-works-and-why-it-matters/ Low dose abilify (around 1mg/d) might actually be worth a try for RLS, because it seems to sta...

Re: Reversing Restless Leg Syndrome

Well here I sit in front of the computer... once again the bugs have come alive in my legs, been fighting them since 3:00 am..I'm so tired, seems like my RLS has become so much worse since being overdosed on Requip..Approx. 77-78 days ago I was on 12-MG Requip (1) time daily, usually at night. Terr...

Re: Buprenorphine, the good, bad and ugly

Lately my RLS has started again, for about 2 weeks. They wouldn't give me the steroid shot in the right spot. She said she was afraid because of the bone on bone of me my spine as well as the hardware in that area. She did give me 7 lidocaine shots around the lower back area. So that really didn't ...

Re: Melatonin added to the mix

Ann, You said....."I break a 2 mg tablet into 4 pieces and that is all it takes to make me tired within about 45 to 60 minutes after I take it". Do you mean that you take 1/4 of that tablet over a period of time? How much time b/w each 1/4 tab? Thanks! So sorry - I wasn't clear at all. When I use i...
