Re: Two very different doctors' visits

I will be posting as I can while in San Diego. I'm excited to start the process. Also, I forgot to mention that as I was leaving my appointment yesterday, my PA asked me to bring back as much info as possible from the clinic because she has several patients with rls. We don't hear that very often. ...

Re: Is your DA causing augmentation?

Viewsaskew, I may need to find another physician, because my current provider seems to think that what I am doing is my only choice. Badnights, I have not had my ferritin checked, so that is something that I will definitely bring up during my next visit (in March). Thank you for the information, I ...

Re: Magnesium and CoQ10

Deb, don't forget the solution may not be a medication per se. It might be another substance (mmj even), or a combination of meds and other substances and diet, or a device or procedure. What about an implanted morphone pump, whiich would deliver such a low dose of morphine that your CNS woudln't b...

Re: Ice Cream

It seems kind of sad to think of ice cream as a trigger. I consider this one of my few comfort foods. So far I haven't seen a difference in when I do enjoy ice cream and when I do without. Maybe not a trigger? I hope so! I don't eat that much when I have it, maybe a 1/2 cup. Triggers are different ...

So sorry it didn't work. But, as you said, anything that helps find another coping strategy is a good thing! And, what a great company that will take it back!

Re: Two very different doctors' visits

Great to hear. Really great to hear. Am looking forward to hearing about the clinic itself. It's not too far from me and we may eventually move to San Diego instead of LA - and having an option there would be wonderful.

Re: Introducing myself

Thanks for the messages. I'll stay! I have found all information very helpful so far. For what it's worth, I have both PLMs and RLS. But, for many many years, I rarely had RLS and what drove me to get help was the PLMs. Mine is a horror story, so I won't share it right now, but happy to later if yo...

Re: Dipyridamole

Even though I didn't get as many hours sleep as I did before the experiment, I still feel considerably different, hard to say exactly how but I feel more "normal." That is truly a dream for many of us. I may have control with all I do, but I haven't felt "like me" for at least 1...

Re: restiffic?

At least two people - I think - have posted here about it. Often people come only when they need help or to share and then do not check in regularly, so you may not get a reply from them. If you use the search box - upper right on your screen - you can search on it and see all the posts that have be...

Re: Requip Withdrawal Time and Tramadol effective time?

Hi Dominick - in my experience, 100 mg of tramadol is likely not nearly enough to counter the withdrawal. Most of the docs who know/write about this suggest relatively quickly stopping the ropinerole (some docs suggest cold turkey, others suggest cutting a bit more gradually, but still relatively qu...

Re: Is your DA causing augmentation?

I am confident that I am augmenting. I have been on 4 mg of Knolopin (which I tried to stop myself and within 3 days began having terrible withdrawals) and 4 mg of Requip per night for a year. Although I am able to sleep through the night, I have noticed that I am having to take the medication earl...
