Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

I''m in Illinois. Its a little ways to Colorado. But not too bad. Some people think Illinois is close to legalizing it for recreational use. Hope so. I'd much rather use the edibles. Its hard to get the correct dose smoking it. If i don't get enough.. it does nothing. If i get too much it keeps me ...

Re: weather

Oh - if you were coming we could have met! I can walk to Dodger Stadium! The weather was SO much better today. We walked to Walgreens around 7 PM and it was glorious out. Glad they are coming now. And, the beach is about 5-10 degrees cooler most times, so highs should be no more than 80 this week.

Re: varicose vien removal and rls!!

Irmajs - parts of our stories are identical. No vein issues, but a neuro who assured me he could treat me, increased the DA until I was so augmented I had 24/7 RLS, never tested my ferritin (mine turned out to be 8), and so on. Had another who refused to believe augmentation existed or that opioids ...

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

ly on another thread Trazadone has been mentioned. It would appear to help with sleep, at least initially. Although not without it's negative effects the next day. Or getting used to it. For someone (moi !!) who never sleeps more than a couple of hours continuously, I'm wondering would it be worth ...

Re: weather

We are st 8,100 feet in Colorado. 80 and 90's. It has been warmer this summer, at times. Like Steve said, cools at night, sometimes in the 40's. I like 60's the best. I LOVE the 60s, lol. It's been about 20% hotter in LA this summer than normal and not cooling down at night at all. I am SO tired of...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

Yea..i'm gona wait one more week to add it back at a small dose. Hopefully it works and i can get off hydrocodone and THC. I don't qualify in my state for MMJ. So i have to get it the old fashioned way. Which i don't really care to do after getting permanent lung damage from a respiratory infection...

Re: Sleeping position relating to RLS symptoms

if you search on this topic, people have talked about this off and on for 15 years! Clearly some of us find this makes things worse (or better).

Re: Antidepressants

The good news is that many of us find we CAN take an AD. The avg chance they will cause something is relatively low - about 90% of us have no issues. Of course, if you are in the 10%, then it's horrible! As Betty said, trial and error can help you find one that will help. Does the AD help for the pa...

And, if it bothers you, take it with food. Sure, it reduces absorption, but better to get some than none.

Re: Histamine/Tyramine Food Triggers

I was reading this blog about gut health recently and also read a study about weight loss. Both were about gut bacteria. In the weight loss study, they found that people with certain types of bacteria lost less weight - the hypothesis is that the different bacteria are much more efficient. The blog ...

Re: best iron suppliment to increase ferritin levels?

That isn't enough ferritin. What I've read from the RLS experts is to take 65 mg of elemental iron 3 times a day, empty stomach, with an acid, such as orange juice if at all possible. Once every other day is 1/6th of that. Even if you take it this way, there is no guarantee it will work, sadly. Eith...

Yep - management to within livable standards is as good as it gets (and better than for many).

Re: A question about dopamine agonist withdrawal

I think there isn't so much a need for a withdrawal process than it happens anyway, at least with augmentation. Your body it used to it and when you take it away, your body reacts violently. When augmentation happens, you already have worsened symptoms, caused by the dopamine agonist. Stopping it se...

Having supportive people around - so nice to hear you have them - and a supportive PA is almost indescribably wonderful.

My - sounds like you have definitely had your share of pain issues.
