Re: no prescription for ropinirol

I would ask her why and ask her what she suggests instead. if you will refer you to someone who is more knowledgeable, that might be a good thing. Many primary care docs do not have the experience they need to deal with the potential issues treating RLS. As you noted, you've been stable since 2014. ...

Welcome to Gasheadalan

Tuesday, 17 July, 2018

Our newest memeber, Gasheadalan, has had this for the last 30 years and is currently wearing tights which reduces the need for medication for the RLS.

Great to hear! Thanks for sharing and welcome.

Re: Riding the Big One (RLS 24/7, Hanging Ten)

Indeed EeFall, it's really just a way of life for me now. There seems to be nothing in the 'sleep med range' that will work. Haven't tried anything in the herbal range, everything except CBD oil is illegal here and the oil on its own doesn't appear to be a big deal for sleep. So I 'wander lonely as...

Re: JULY 2018 - NEW MEMBERS

Friday, July 13 Welcome to CCWags. Sorry you had to find us, CC. The RLS came from nowhere just recently and CC is waking up all the time and not getting the sleep that is needed. A suggestion is to start a new topic and introduce yourself. Tell us if anything changed about that time - new medicatio...

Re: Whacha readin?

Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine looks good—4.5 stars on Good Reads. It is being made into a movie with Reese Witherspoon. I would give it a solid 3.5 - a very good summer read. The writing construction was often quite good - I laughed out loud a few times. In case anyone reads it, I won't share...

Re: Earlier Onset While Driving Requiring Early Oxycodone Dosage

Good luck. And, yes, you are very lucky! Dr Rye has always been one of my favorite RLS docs (of those I have met through the Foundation). As someone who has used methadone for about 12 or 13 years, I have long wished for a combo approach. A small amount of methadone for what it does, and a small am...

Re: TRAZODONE

I took it and all it did was leave me walking around the house like a drunk, bouncing off of the walls of the hall. I tried it for just a few days and then threw the rest out. Same as Rustsmith. I then tried it as a sleep aid. I just felt hungover the next day. I slept something like 16 hours that ...

Re: Whacha readin?

Thanks, Yankiwi. I need to suggest a book for book club (the month we host, we provide the book title) in September.

I just finished Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Nice summer read.

Re: Relief of my RLS with Voltaren gel

My hubbie's doctor suggested this for arthritis pain. I decided to try it for trigger point pain - while not RLS, it definitely wakes me up and keeps me rubbing the affected part because it hurts so much. Definitely helped the pain. If anyone's RLS is painful, this might help. It would likely help a...

Re: saying hello

I guess I'd echo your experience. I am functional most times, but rarely rested and sometimes still crappy. Not sure it gets better than that for some of us. I keep trying, though! This is exactly the symptom where dipyridamole seems to do the best for me. Maybe the next time you see Dr. B you migh...
