Re: Adenosine and drug options

I recall you said that in response to something Steve had asked so was surprised by his response.

Re: What's working for me

Sharing is always great - never know when something we share will impact someone else. In fact, we often never do know, but from my experiences here, it happens frequently. So, thanks!

Adenosine and drug options

I had a two month follow-up with Dr B today. He hadn't seen the new study, so I said I would send it to him. I did and heard back awhile ago. He was very excited that this could be a novel way to treat RLS. He was not at all optimistic that this would occur soon; he had nothing positive to say about...

Re: Hoping for a better night

Oh, I feel your pain! It's been a long time since I had that little sleep, but I sure remember how you feel when you do. I am terrified of the opioid craziness - I honestly am not sure what I would do. Nothing good, I am afraid!

Re: Magnesium and CoQ10

Tracking is a good idea, Deb. I hear you - I am terrified, too. And, I also find that if I take the methadone daily that it is too much - I am too tired, without any energy, Reducing it with the pramipexole - every other day at this time - is the only way I've found to have a bit more energy. I, too...

Re: Treatment for Refractory RLS at Quality Care Clinics

My guess is that there are many factors at play - and most of them not in your or my favor! I guess is that it is decided individually at the clinics or is covered by state law, which the Foundation would have no way of knowing. We know, from our members here, that most of the places that used to pr...

Re: Sleeping Arrangements

This, to me, is the worst that this disease can do - hurt our closest relationships! I did what he did for awhile, but my partner, like you, was determined to find a way we could sleep together. And I am glad he persisted. As Steve noted, the split king is one answer. And, if I remember correctly, t...

Hugs to you, Wild6Flower16. While likely nothing to the extent you are familiar with, have had periods of depression and it is so insidious and permeates through everything. As Beth said, it is temporary....so important to remind yourself since it never feels temporary!

Re: Happy New Year! & checking in

Thanks all. I got the job!!! Social worker working with older adults. It will be a few months before I can start...healthcare credentialing process is lengthy. So relieved...my job situation the past 3 years has been tenuous and had horrible health coverage. Tenuous because job was full time perman...

Re: Methadone to Suboxone

I have been taking methadone for over 10 years. About five-seven years ago, I started experiencing depression. The first time I found out I had very low vitamin D levels (8, if I remember correctly). Improving that improved my mood some, but in retrospect, not to normal. For the next five years, I w...

Re: tapering off ropinirole

I didn't experience any hellish problems until my dose was very low. They were mild. It wasn't until I stopped them that it became hell.

Re: New Doctor

Who knows - chance or because of what you are taking. Either way, great to have a few days of no symptoms!
