Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS (WED)

I knew they were working on some mouse models; will be interesting to see how close the symptoms appear to be to humans.

Thanks, Deb. No, I am south of them and close to the ocean - relatively green and moist here with the ocean so close.

Re: Two very different doctors' visits

Oh, my. Yeah, the first generation antihistamines can wreak havoc for those of us with RLS. Last year I went to a new primary care doc about vertigo. I TOLD her about RLS and how the meds usually used for vertigo would trigger RLS. She proceeded to NOT look it up and prescribe a drug that was in the...

Re: What Severe RLS is Like

A couple of days ago my brother visited unexpectedly. There's me, in my very attractive fluffy dressing gown, granny style slippers, bed hair ..... not a pretty sight, at 12 noon !! Putting on the kettle I excused myself on the grounds that I'd been up and awake until 5am and had eventuall found sl...

Re: Pending Opioid Withdrawal?

I massaged my PA that I had so many pills left and that I was ready for my next prescription. This was on Monday. I have one pill to get me through the night and tomorrow until she might electronically send it to my pharmacy. Hopefully she is acting on this. Last refill, I had to re-message and rem...

Re: Pending Opioid Withdrawal?

My pharmacy always has to order - always screws me up. No mail order in IL or in CA to my knowledge.

Re: Moving Mayhem

Since my last two days have been pretty bad, of course, I think about it a lot. My back has been hurting the last two days. Usually I only get back pain, if I walk too far, do too much lifting. It's right above where I had surgery years ago, probably L 5 or 6, and also had herniated disc in that ar...

Re: Moving Mayhem

Everything can change overnight literally. Lately, my legs have not been too bad. Then last night, they never stopped. Even this morning when, I can usually sleep, it just wouldn't stop. I would lie on the worst side, falling asleep, kept waking me up. I would get up for an hour and try again. I di...

Thanks, Deb! On Tuesday I will start the next opioid to test - not looking forward to that! But, who knows, maybe it will work :-).

Re: Relief of my RLS with Voltaren gel

I hope it continues to work. I have to wonder if you may have neuropathy along with with RLS and this helps it. It can be so hard to tell them apart - we get people who are misdiagnosed every so often. I say that because ropinerole/Requip works for almost everyone. That it doesn't help makes me wond...

Re: Is it Only Me ?

Ah... the sunshine of California. Our past summer here in UK..... we had a two week decent spell at the end of May and then it rained for almost the rest of the summer. The BBQ was not used once. A SAD light may be an idea. Oh, Betty. I cannot imagine an entire summer with rainy days one after anot...
