Re: Intermittent Fasting

Glad to hear it helped, yawny. My nephew lost about 70 pounds and has kept it off for about two years now. He does a 20/5 - so his eating window is short! PB - I totally eat more when I have insomnia, and even more when I have both insomnia and RLS. Eating distracts me from the RLS and the ennui tha...

Re: Intermittent Fasting

Oh - the article. I didn't read it in detail or look for citations - I was reading it on my phone simply because it showed up on my feed, lol.

Intermittent Fasting

Intermittent fasting is one of the latest diet crazes. I have been doing it again - not because of the diet craze - for a few years. I always used to wait until at least lunch to eat - I just wasn't hungry in the morning. I eventually started eating breakfast - they tell you it's so good for you - b...

Re: Dipyridamole

I remember - a year or so ago - reading of two different studies that involved getting things past the blood brain barrier. Neither were related to RLS, but I immediately thought of us and iron. I wrote about them here. Wonder what the status of them both are?

Agreed with everyone! Definitely talk to your doc. This is not you and you know yourself best.

Re: Two very different doctors' visits

I will be posting as I can while in San Diego. I'm excited to start the process. Also, I forgot to mention that as I was leaving my appointment yesterday, my PA asked me to bring back as much info as possible from the clinic because she has several patients with rls. We don't hear that very often. ...

Re: Is your DA causing augmentation?

Viewsaskew, I may need to find another physician, because my current provider seems to think that what I am doing is my only choice. Badnights, I have not had my ferritin checked, so that is something that I will definitely bring up during my next visit (in March). Thank you for the information, I ...

Re: Magnesium and CoQ10

Deb, don't forget the solution may not be a medication per se. It might be another substance (mmj even), or a combination of meds and other substances and diet, or a device or procedure. What about an implanted morphone pump, whiich would deliver such a low dose of morphine that your CNS woudln't b...

Re: Ice Cream

It seems kind of sad to think of ice cream as a trigger. I consider this one of my few comfort foods. So far I haven't seen a difference in when I do enjoy ice cream and when I do without. Maybe not a trigger? I hope so! I don't eat that much when I have it, maybe a 1/2 cup. Triggers are different ...

So sorry it didn't work. But, as you said, anything that helps find another coping strategy is a good thing! And, what a great company that will take it back!

Re: Two very different doctors' visits

Great to hear. Really great to hear. Am looking forward to hearing about the clinic itself. It's not too far from me and we may eventually move to San Diego instead of LA - and having an option there would be wonderful.
