Hey Rachel, absolutely NOT ticked at your reply I was lucky in my school (rural county) because there were no stairs and I could beg my teaching assistant to take the controls for a moment. Now I'm workng on a grant that has me in and out of 7 different inner city schools, all of which either have m...

I'm a "retired" teacher working on my doctorate now, but currently I make certain that my immediate colleagues know what meds I take in case of a problem. When I was in the public schools with the little guys, I kept a bottle of Ultram in the nurse's office for "emergency" use and that way she alway...

I know that when I was still teaching in the public school classroom, I had a horrible time...having to be in the class and mentally more alert than my students at 7:30am was REALLY starting to be a problem...and when you teach kids with emotional and behavior disorders...not good!! The whole sleep ...

I just got back from my first trip to Chicago for a conference and I had a BLAST!!! I talked my boys into going there for at least a weekend over the summer to see the aquarium and whatever else struck their fancy! So we might be able to swing end of June/first week in July. Much further into the su...

I'm so sorry to hear you and your son are having to contend with this. I was recently formally diagnosed with RLS, and have had this all my life, as do all three o my children, to varying degrees. THey have not yet been to the doctor for it, because I spent alot of time in and out of doctor's office...

I don't even remember waking up to be honest and got in a grand total of 6 hours!!!! I was able to wake up at 6:30 and actually see the boys off to school for ...

thanks for the info! Well, it's finally official; he did dx me with severe RLS. First order of business was to put me on clonazepam...I've had odd reactions to Ambien in the past. His theory is that if he can resolve some of the sleep issues then he can determine the most appropriate form of pain re...

neuro appointment/weather question

Well, back to the neuro this afternoon...will be the first time I've raised the possibility of RLS. I'm hoping that he has a clue...I'm so tired of this (literally and figuratively!!!) I was curious how many of you have a marked increase in symptoms, especially pain, whenever there is a major change...

Just a suggestion, but you could create a survey using www.surveymonkey.com and give the link to the site here (with moderator permission of course!) We use this method constantly to collect data quickly for large numbers of respondents. You design your questions that you want everyone to answer (al...
