Checking back...Morphine Sulfate Contin still working for me

Hi all, it's been a while since I have been on the boards. I just want to report back that MS contin 30/mg 2xday is still working pretty well. I have had some pain in my lower legs, especially when the morphine is wearing off. Just to fill you in, I first noticed the "buzzing" in my legs i...

Hey Zach, I just wanted to say sorry for overreacting to your post. I just felt alarmed that you had taken so much at one time and I'm glad to hear you are not doing that anymore. Frankly these pain meds we have to take do kind of scare me. I am a subtance abuse/family therapist (not currently pract...

Please don't talk down to me. Yeah I get it. And I don't think anyone thought I was posting that DA's don't work for some people. I was pointing out that they are not the miracle drug they proclaim to be. And I believe they hide those stats so they can sell more drugs...I can't tell you how many of...

Okay, I'll ask...WHY Zach, are you taking 80 mgs or 40 mgs for that matter? You aren't still doing that are you? I know you know that's not good, but maybe someone reading your post might think it's very permission giving. At least preface your posts with the old "don't try this at home" if you are ...

I heard back from my sister-in-law who is a drug rep. She says no money can EVER be exchanged or they would both be in trouble with the DEA, (I think she said it was the DEA) She said several years ago, drug companies were still giving trips and other perks away, but that has stopped completely. All...

There is a Sleep specialist Phd. in Aurora, Colorado (Denver metro) who is doing research on the correlation between chemical abuse/dependency and RLS. It appears to be a revolving study, (when one ends, another begins) I don't know much about it, but here is the clinic info. Dr. Lawrence Scrima Phd...

Oh, I guess I was saying it wasn't likely that just because he has RLS, that he would probably have PD. I still think that combo is pretty rare,(from what my doctors have told me), because I worried about it too. It was one of the first questions I asked and researched, thinking about the treatments...

Oh good. I think it's very rare for people to have RLS AND Parkinsons. They seem to be dopamine problem-syndromes, but at different end of the spectrum. So thank goodness you don't have both. But my PLMS I had during a sleep study are about every 20-30 seconds, and I don't usually have them during t...

This doesn't really sound like my experience with RLS/PLMS. I don't know that much about Parkinson's, but if you do a search, you will find message boards like this, but about Parkinson's. Try your post there and see what they say, in addition to the feed back you are getting from us. I don't want t...

Burning Feet syndrome is a completely different thing, yet sometimes rls suffers have it. Do a search on Yahoo or Google for Burning Feet syndrome. There specific discussion groups for people who have this. I've come across them, I just dont know where they are. But it's a real thing. Let us know wh...

My neuro said they are studying RLS like nothing he's ever seen and believes there will be breakthroughs in medication in the next 5 years. He said the drug companies saw how many people were hoping to benefit from Requip, and how a large percent of us, well, it made it worse...so they are hoping to...

My brother is a surgeon and his fiance is a drug rep. I BELIEVE all they get are PERKS, like wine and dine things and event tickets...but I will find out tomorrow and get back to you. I know that there is a lawsuit forming over the makers of Neurontin claiming off label uses for EVERYTHING. If you w...

Susan, I'm kinda having the same problems you are. I'm trying to find a combo for nighttime. I'm on a low dose of MScontin 24/7, and there is a slight stimulent effect. I just tried the Klonapin for one month, and all it did was give me nightmares and woke me up even more. I can tell you this: the l...

Oh, thanks Corrie. I am a non-practicing marraige and family counselor. I'm staying home with my small children right now, so I jump on any chance to excercise my diplomacy skills. Some days I feel like my brain has turned to mush after talking with little ones all day and watching kids shows. I alw...
