Thanks Charlene. I've actually been a member for a long time and really need to check these posts more often. I remember when I found this sight, it was such a relief. Knowing other people were like me and this isn't just "Shelley's CRAZY LEGS" which is what all my friends and family have called it ...

Ultram

I've been taking Ultram for the past 12 years for RLS. I started with one pill at night was enuf and now I take 2 in the day and 4 at night. I've had RLS since in grade school and it gets worse as I get older. Now in my arms as well. I've never had a problem with Ultram other than nausea now and the...

Hi Karel -- I have restless arms too. When younger (I'm 39 now) I only had it in my legs. As I've gotton older, within the last 10 yrs, it's progressed into my arms. My dr. said RLS worsens with age. The arms can really drive you nuts sometimes. When my legs act up, I can just stand up and the crazy...

Mr. Joe: I can relate to the measures you take for relief. Ever since probably jr. high, my parents would find me out jogging at 2am or doing aerobics trying to exhaust my legs, my family thought I was out of my mind. Now however, I'm 38 now and running actually makes it worse so I have to run in th...

Rachael: Unfortunately, there are alot of things that work but finding which one works for you is the hard part. What works for me is a drug called Ultram/Tramadol. It has been an absolute Godsend for me and I totally credit my current quality of life to it. Most Dr.s will have samples for you to tr...

Bob - On the Ultracet, it's actually a milder form of Tramadol/Ultram. You might ask your dr. to give you the straight Ultram and not mess with the lesser of the two since you'll be coming off vicodin.

Hi Randy: I know how you feel about thinking you're crazy and people telling you it's all in your head. If it makes you feel any better, healthwise, I'm perfect. Heck, my iron isn't even low. But, that's doesn't take away the fact that my legs and arms drive me out of my mind. I have found my arms e...

Hi Randy: I'm 38 and have had RLS since I was about 10. I too never knew what it was and my family just thought I had "crazy legs". My sensations (or whatever you call the feeling) is mostly in my thighs and arms. As I've gotten older the RLS has gradually gotten worse. I too, think that everyones "...

Seinfeld: Have you ever tried Ultram (Tramadol)? It's a wonder drug for me. If you're allergic to codeine, you can't take it since it goes to the same receptor in the brain, it will make you sicker than a dog. However, if you're not allergic to codeine, it would be worth a try. My dr. said it's best...

Seinfeld: On the allergic reaction out of nowhere, I don't know why that happens, but 10 years of taking Ultram, it still happens once in a while. I've chosen to stay on Ultram because other than those few occasions now and then, it's been wonderful for my legs and arms. I however didn't black out a...

I took Mirapex a couple times during a30-day period. It just gave me crazy nightmares. I take Ultram for my RLS. Normally, Ultram works just fine, but if I take it on an empty stomach or once in a while for no reason at all it makes me incredibly nauseated. The dr. said that I'm having a slight alle...

Becat: Believe me, I've never taken a drink after him again. I didn't grow up around dippers, my mom smoked but that's about it. It was funny when my husband and I were dating, after about 3 dates, we were sitting in the car and he said "I've got to tell you something that I've been hiding". My stom...

Am I the only one on this site who thinks Ultram is a miracle worker? I tried Mirapex one month and had horrible horrible nightmares, I mean nightmares that aren't even possible (a plaid bull dog was chasing me in every one). I was flat out loopy with that one. I've never smoked and the last time I ...

Lyndarae - you sound very positive and that sounds wonderful. I also think you fully got my point. There's a reason your daughters are like me with drugs and alcohol. Not alot of parents can say they have children who haven't experimented with a bad substance some time or another. You're experiences...
