I am glad for you and hope you find continued relief from this diet change. However, I am doubtful that it will help most others, but maybe it will for some. Tina

yes, what your describing is common and I have experienced the sensations in my arms and also have the leg jerks while asleep. I think the jerks are called Periodic Limb Movement Disorder and, from what I understand, it often goes along with RLS. Tina

I believe you are in the right place. There are many people here who are very well educated about RLS. Over the next couple days, I am sure you will get some very good advice. I think you should request a referral to a Neurologist with knowledge of RLS. It seems that they are the most qualified. I a...

RLS t.v. commercial

I saw a 30 second commercial for RLS by Glaxo-Smith Co. last night. It talks about the creepy crawly tingling feelings and how it causes sleep deprivation because movement relieves the sensations and that 1 out of 10 Americans suffer from it. They also advertise a website, but I'm not sure what the ...

I posted awhile back with symptoms around my eyes while having an RLS episode. It only happened on that one night and the next day I thought maybe it was just my imagination, but I remember it hurt my eyes cause I would roll them far up in an effort to relieve the sensations, kind of like I stretch ...

RLS and blood flow problems

I have Lupus and RLS and know that many Fibro people also have RLS. I got some new blood test that showed anti-phospholipid antibody syndrome, a clotting disorder and a brain MRI showed hard plaque restricting blood flow to the brain causing my migraines and cognitive dysfunction (confusion). I have...

UPDATE: saw rheumy this morning. added post regarding my sinemet use in the pharmeceutical discussions. Anyway, new diagnoses, migraines with cognitive dysfunction. I'm having a brain MRI next week. I saw my rheumatologist this morning. I asked about Sinemet vs. Requip, she said that Requip is stronger with more side effects and usually prescribed by a neuro. I haven't seen a neuro yet, but am having a brain MRI next week. Sinemet is working very well for me, with no side effects, so no med cha...

Sara, I rescheduled my rheumy/internist appointment for tomorrow. I might not get much time, cause they squeezed me in, but I will ask about the meds and especially about Requip. So I'll pass any new info, or misinfo, whatever the case may be, tomorrow. Tina

blackouts, confusion due to fatigue

Anyone have problems with short blackouts with confusion? I have talked to my docs about this and they aren't concerned unless I go unconscience. They say it is from fatigue. When my body feels like an electrical power station, and I'm especially tired, I don't drive. In the past, when I find myself...
