Well I am off the Mirapex and now on the Neurontin. My doctor prescribed 1-3 capsules daily. I tried 1 capsule with the .5 mg clonazepam on Wed. night, I still have to wean off the clonazepam. I slept better and my legs didn't start running without me, but I still was up after a couple of hours stre...

I took medication for the same problem. I don't remember what it was, but it was different than what you were prescribed. It drove my legs crazy. I went off it after a week, I would rather have the bladder issue than my legs running around without my permission. I since then have read somewhere, can...

Mirapex and Neurontin

I am sure that somewhere someone has asked these questions, but I am just too exhausted to look. I started Mirapex on Sept. 2, at the suggestion of my sleep doc. She suggested starting at 1/2 the dose that is recommended because I had such a horrible reaction to Requip. I was able to move up to the ...

Yes, you can get headaches, nausea and other side affects. I ended up in the ER with a migraine from dropping my dosage too fast. You probably need to drop it by a 1/4 tablet a week at a time. I was almost off and due to some other things I going on I had to go from .25mg to .5mg temp., but started ...

Susan, my doctor is David Thorson. He is with Family Health, I think that is what it is called now, it used to be MinnHealth. He is located on Banning. He's pretty full, but I have seen several of the other doctors there also and have been happy with them. He uses St. John's Hospital where I think h...

Susan, what got me excited about this doctor was she told me specifically that some people need the pain killers so that's what she gave them. She didn't seem to pigeon hole people into "here is the only option" area. She seemed to genuinely get what RLS is about. I work in Oakdale, and my...

I live in Maple Grove, MN and have just found a new doctor and I love her already. Dr. Fox at the Minnesota Sleep Institute in Plymouth, MN. I went in for a sleep study and was surprised how well versed she was with RLS. She had the list of no, no meds like Benedryl, over the counter sleep aids, etc...

My husband had the same problem during downhill ski season and sailing season. During skiing, cramps of the thighs and sailing cramps in the hand. Our doctor said to eat banana's and that gives you the potassium you need. So during the both seasons, we try to keep banana's around for him to each. Do...

I use a combination of prescription Allegera and Singular. They work great and do not seem to aggrevate my RLS Another plus was the doctor told me the combination was the reason I wasn't having a lot of hot flashes with my menopause.

I've been taking clonozapam for about 8 yrs and also need depression meds. I started at .5 mg and it worked great. Then after a while I needed to up the dosage. At one point I was up to 2mg it wasn't working and I was very frustrated. At one point I tried Requip and after throwing up for 2 days, viv...
