Thought I'd write and give you the latest. Last Wed I had my Physical. BP was 150/90. It's been around the same my last 3 visits. She ordered an echocardiogram and a nuclear stress test (Spelling?) Am waiting for the blood test results. With the BP being so high I'm now concerned about my thyroid. A...

What to check?

Thanks Jumpy...am off for my first physical in years (tomorrow) I will be sure to have her check the levels that you outlined in your post on April29th. New to RLS?

Forgot to mention that my shrink insisted the I also get a physical. I am scheduled for the 11th of May. What should I ask them to closely check? I know I read somewhere about Iron levels. But, there were other specifics also mentioned right?
Thanks :D

Re: Prescription Drug Side Effects

Nadine, Thanks for keeping us updated. I hope you finally get some relief from this latest visit. Your neuro sounds like he knows his drugs though. He took you off the ones that were causing you the most problems. It's a good thing there are so many to try. Hopefully the Sinemet will work for you. I...

Re: Prescription Drug Side Effects

Geez Nadia, No wonder you're never hungry. You're always putting one pill or another down your throat. (Don't mind me, I'm just trying to bring a little humor to a very serious problem). I hate to think that my RLS can get soooo bad, that I am taking all those pills. I hope your neuro comes up with ...

Neurontin

Hi All, Thanks Irena and Jumpy for the helpful website info and the list of side effects. I'm still contemplating giving it shot a again tonite. Crazy huh? I think it helped with my restlessness in my knees. I might have been too busy going back and forth from the bed to the couch to the toilet. I p...

Neurontin

Well ok, tried Neurontin for the first time last night. Doc started me with 100 mgs for 5 days, then 200 for 5 days and finally 300 for 5, after that I see her again in a month. The good part was my legs seemed to be a bit better The bad news is that I had severe stomach cramping, combined with cons...

Neurontin

This is not about the disagreement going on. I just wanted to share an experience that happened today. I went to see my psychiatrist today, she is treating me for depression and anxiety. I mentioned for the first time (to any doctor) about what I believe to be an RLS problem. She was very knowledgabl...

Knees only

Hi Jumpy, Thanks for your reply. From reading some posts on this board, I guess I can make a connection as to when this started. I have been taking Xanax for many years and live on Tylenol and Aleve. I just switched from Zoloft to Welbutrin about 2 months ago. I now see that these medications are pr...

Another RLS sufferer

Hi Everyone, I'm new to this board and have a question. I have all the symptoms but still don't know if I have RLS. Every description I've read pertains to sensations in the calves or limbs. Mine is strictly in my knees. Sometimes the right, sometimes the left and sometimes both. I feel like I just ...
