PS: I missed one of your posts. Additional response: I was taking a little methadone in the mornings and then hydrocodone in the evenings. I don't think you could usefully take the two closer together, especially with a higher dose of methadone. I think the methadone would totally tromp on the oxyco...

Ann-- I don't remember if this is your first oxycodone attempt, so forgive me if I'm preaching to the choir here. Anyway, here are my two cents: One of the reasons I like oxycodone is that it has a pretty short half-life, so I can easily control how long I have it on board. Unfortunately, one of the...

Mirapex STILL makes me crazy, lol. The night sweats followed by being freezing cold, the constant awakenings after just a few hours sleep, the mental activity that won't stop.... I'm gonna guess you're sure, since you're you and you know your meds' effects pretty well, but I still have to ask: Are ...

and god knows how often they are gonna want to make me take an EKG but it better be no more than once a year if I am the one paying for it. Yeah, once a month would suck. Still, once a year is probably a good idea, considering that opioids can affect your heart rhythm, and size in some cases. I'm g...

My wife and I took a trip for our anniversary. Since then, I've been trying to catch up at work, and also to get enough done that I can duck out a week early for Christmas. (Two More Days, Two More Days...) Then I come home and play video games. Can't speak for others... I think we all have cyclic a...

The wii is great, since it involves the whole body, but I think even games that just use the hands, or even just the thumbs, can be really good for ignoring symptoms. It's probably the mental distraction more than the physical action. I think we've established pretty well that anything you can get d...

I bet you could narrow down any list of potential RLS experts by talking to the doctor's assistant on the phone. For instance, see if they've heard of the Mayo Clinic algorithm for RLS treatment. If the assistant says, 'yes,' then the chances are good that the doctor is also clueful. If not, you sti...

Oxycodone prescription frequency
While I'm satisfied with my hydrocodone as far as efficiency, both I and my doctor would prefer that I not take in acetaminophen every day for the rest of my life, so I've been evaluating oxycodone for a week or so now and I figure it'll be fine. (I was worried because I always used to get nauseated...
