Thanks for all your advice, John, Ann, and Zach. I just called and left a message at the Neuro's office to make the appt for sleep study. Three nights with no remeron and doing fine. Taking .25 - .375 mg Klonopin at bed and sleeping thru until 5 or 6, but waking with a somewhat tight chest. Can't co...

Anyone been told u spend 2 much time talk about your health?

My husband is so tired of hearing me talk about my health and has lately despaired that I will ever be happy again. Apparently my Father in law has joked that there's no point in asking me how I'm doing, because it's never good! (chuckle chuckle! that's his chuckle, not mine . . . :x ) I was horrifi...

Everyone's posts are quite interesting. My Neuro called me on Friday night around 5:30- his typical time. THe result is that he recommended that I stop the remeron, as it is highly sedative. He recommended I cover any panic attacks with benzo's. SO, I've been taking .25 mg of Klonopin at bed time th...

It's weird. I can handle insomnia. It's this panic that I can't stand. For months I've handled an occaisional night with difficulty sleeping with no anxiety. I just handled it. Then all of a sudden I started waking up in the middle of the night, terrified. NOthing I did would calm me down, not even ...

Has anyone given up day-time meds?/opiates/sleepiness

Does anyone with daytime symptoms just resolve to suck it up during the day because all meds just make them too sleepy to function? Just wondering what that is like if anyone out there is doing that. If I take enough methadone to cover my symptoms I am becoming way too sleepy and my driving is risky...

You said it, Susan. It is a crazy balancing act, and people don't understand it. I don't think I can take more methadone. I think I would be too sleepy! When I was taking the hormones for IVF I was able to take 25 but when I went off them, that was when I had my first midnight panic attack. I slowly...

Did you have them every night, or just occaisionnally? That is exactly how I feel! I usually end up sleeping in the family room on the sofa. I used to be able to go for a walk adn feel better but now the walk is not enough. I have to take someting to feel better. It really is awful to feel like you ...

remeron and methadone

Well, I've been taking 15 mg remeron for a week. I was hoping to take it for maximum a month, assuming that whatever is causing this nocturnal panic will pass. However, I am suspecting that it might be starting to aggravate my creepy crawlies during the day. However, I've been sleeping like a baby a...

Thank you for sharing. I was wondering how to avoid the augmentation. I was thinking of taking it for two days then one day off, then two days, then one day off . . . but my psychiatrist suggested I should only do that for about two weeks. You said that you can cut your methadone by 50% if you take ...

methadone and mirapex?

My twitching and jerking has temporarily been exacerbated by hyoscyamine, which my urologist gave me thoughtlessly. (WHy give an anticholinergic and anti serotinergic drug to a person with RLS and depression???) My doc suggested neurontin or mirapex. I've tried both over the weekend and the mirapex ...

It is listed as common side effect on a site called doublecheckMD. I also got a lot of results in my google search. If it weren't for the timing I wouldn't be so sure but I am very sure now. I started having to take a lot of night walks at the same time. I hope that it does not take a long time for ...

Thanks for your responses. I appreciate it. I'm pretty sure that it is being caused by hyoscyamine in the medicine called Urelle that I was given for Interstitical cystitis pain. I first noticed the jerking during an acupuncture session the day after I started the meds. It was even worse at my next ...

I LOVED remeron, 30 mg/night. My Neurologist made me get off it because he suspected it was aggravating my RLS. I have not been the same since. I am so anxious and I keep coming down with more chronic disorders. I think they must be related to the untreated anxiety and depression. I'm thinking of ge...

Urelle and RLS - Don't take Urelle for > couple of days!

OK, I have interstitial cystitis, a truly evil chronic pain problem in the urinary tract. I was having a flare, and after about 5 day sof taking this meds, I could not sleep due to terrible jerking and twitching, insomnia, panic attacks and a feeling when I closed my eyes that the room was spinning....

I'm not actually taking neurontin, just wondering if it would help me if I added it to the methadone. At least, maybe it would knock me out!! Could the benzo be CAUSING the problem? I'm taking such a tiny amount and only took it aobut 5 days in a row. Sometimes I wonder if this isn't all in my head ...
