Sad to say, the liquid form of gabapentin is no better than the capsules, so I'm sticking with the capsules.

I'm going to ask about next time at the doctor. The liquid is no better than the capsules. I think the dose is wrong as it was only a few drops, plus it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for hours afterward

At this point, The meds are always in my backpack. Not the medicine cabinet. So, except for just cruising around town shopping or whatnot, they are always with me.

No one has taken liquid Neurontin (gabapentin)? Looks like I'm going to be the first one. I finally found a pharmacy (in the next county) that was able to acquire or "compound" it into a liquid. I'll start it tomorrow. The dosage is less than the capsules, and only take it twice a day inst...

Re: Doctor Rant

Worried about her license, she says. Not worried about me, but her license. I'm sure she is most worried about herself and insurance and lawsuits should something bad happen while you are trying so many different drugs, but remember, she also has other patients she is helping who don't have a large...

Curiously enough, wayne_00 posted on the WeMove discussion board that he has had the opposite experience to you! He said: "Recently I have become involved with someone, after a solitary lifestyle for some time now, and have found by coincidence that I do not need any medication whilst I am sle...

wow, that's already two others with occasional wierd swallow things. I wonder how common it is in the non-RLS population. I've always had trouble swallowing pills It could be a minor acid reflux or maybe GERD. I don't have trouble swallowing pills but sometimes they get stuck in my throat, not goin...

Yep, the RLS was gone, but in an hour I was wide awake! I did fall back to sleep, but kept waking every 50 minutes or so. Within 3 more hours, the RLS was back, so I just got up and stayed up. My own personal theory on why we keep waking up even when not having RLS symptoms is because thats the pat...

Been a while for me. With all the snowstorms last month in this area, my sleep studies and appointments got postponed and rescheduled several times and I finally saw the neuro today to go over all the results. No sleep problems, no apnea, the cpap machine made no difference, not narcoleptic, I'm jus...

I haven't made the HD commitment at home yet, but at work I have a 30 inch Apple Cinema display. Took some getting used to as I found myself turning my head to view different areas of the display. And you can have more windows open without having to stack them. Would love to get one at home but can ...

I was scheduled for a CPAP test yesterday, but had to reschedule it for next week because of the super snowstorm we had in the DC area. Average of 25 inches! I won't be able to leave my neighborhood for another day or two

re: Valkryie.. "Real Story" + Hollywood ++ Tom Cruise == Oxymoron Still a compelling story though whether you like Tom Cruise or not. Recently I saw Terminator Salvation. Liked that one also. Had to smile when I saw the (much younger) CG generated Schwarznegger Terminator step off the lin...

Re: Peaceful Resistance

Oddly enough, with all the moving we do, many of us are overweight. Studies show that being overweight is more common to RLS than to the average person. Well I'm not overweight, if anything I'm underweight, at least that's how I look. I'm 6'3" and weigh about 180 lbs. give or take a few pounds...

Bumping an old topic here but I got to thinking about alcohol. I don't drink myself, but I remember that most of my relatives (aunt, uncles etc.) almost always had one or two after dinner drinks, and my dad used to be a big beer drinker. They complained of many ailments, but I don't remember anythin...
