I have no idea how to send a picture to you and my computer is so old that it would probably blow up if I tried. I have you pictured more as an American-style Sean Conners. Sort of like he was in one of Harrison Ford's movie where he plays the very smart very attractive father. Anyway, I would prefe...

My good friend Jumpyowl is giving you great info. I shouldn't even be trying to add to his help but I wanted to give my viewpoint for what it is worth. From what I have read and observed, the only anti-depressant that she might be able to use (if that seems to be the course she needs to take) is Wel...

Jenny, there is so much we don't know about RLS. You ask good questions, I don't have the answers. Jumpyowl is starting a great project. Check out the link he has started about ORP. We are tyring to put together a question and answer "survey" and are asking people to think of information to add to i...

I also have peripheral neuropathy and it sure isn't fun. When you add RLS to the mix, I would just as soon throw out the batter because the cake will be awful. The PN started about 5 years ago and I was tested for all sorts of stuff. It wasn't until I went to a new doctor for the RLS that I learned ...

I think I would gather all the info I could, like my friend suggested but then I would go to a different doctor. Try a neurologist or just call around to see who knows about RLS. Even if they aren't an "expert", if they are willing to do research then give them a try. Sounds like your doctor is lazy...

What can I say that hasn't already been said? Jan, I don't know what you said or thought you said but it's okay. If you ever have the time, look back at some of the stupid things I've said The BEST thing about this group is that we have all gone through some truly rough times and even though the pro...

What a fighter you must be and determined as well to keep hanging in there despite your problems. Take a look at yourself and see how strong you are. You will find help here and support. Please use it to help during the bad times. I know (we all do) how terrible it is to walk the floors, needing sle...

I really hate to tell you this. For many, many of us the meds we are on do not work forever for us. Augmentation may cause us to quit use or they may just stop working. Most of us have become our own guinea pigs because what works for one won't for another. Some meds have a rebound effect and someti...

I applaud your hesitancy in jumping in with meds. I do have to ask; is your doctor informed about RLS? (either this one or your regular doctor) It is a good idea to have several tests run and it sounds like you are checking out the different threads to see what others have tried. Also check out the ...

The only constant that I see with RLS is the need to move. Some have pain, some don't. The symptoms vary so much, the meds used are so different from one to another and that's just the major differences. RLS stands for Restless Leg Syndrome and some of us have other body areas that HAVE to move. The...

Jumpy, way back when this board started, I tired to find out if anyone else had tired, tense legs in the mornings. So I am interested that you take Mirapex in the am as well as at night. Right now, I am limiting the Mirapex to nighttime and have stayed at 0.5 mg for quite awhile. Do you think it wou...

Sorry it's taken me so long to jump on the wagon but I think this is not just a great idea to help understand RLS, Jumpy but also a great way to pull us all together. This will be a wonderful contribution, not only for RLS sufferers, but to the medical profession and society in general. I am so than...
