Mine is also mostly just below the fattest part of the calf to right above my ankle. When I have the jerks, it jerks my foot as well as my leg. It usually starts in one leg and once it FINALLY quits, the other leg starts. I seldom have it in both legs at the same time. I have the tingles all over bu...

RLS hits different people in different ways. For many, any type of antihistimine is a killer as well as some types of sleep aids. Some of us can't have caffeine. There is a school of thought that says RLS is due many times to an iron deficiency. If you haven't had your iron levels checked, it's prob...

Nadia, I am so sorry you are going through so much now. I know it doesn't help your symptoms, but at least you know there are friends who know what you are going through. I have been on 300 mg of Neurontin for about 3-4 months. I haven't had any bad experiences with it so far. I have weaned myself o...

Check out the "New to RLS" forum also. Nadia has asked about pain there and several have answered. Thankfully I haven't had pain for awhile and I hope you can find relief soon. Keep us posted on your journey. Maybe what works for you can help someone else. Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore.

I had horrible leg aches when I was a child too. I remember my aunt rubbing my legs one night and it truly hurt too much for her to touch them. But for the past few years my leg aches have gone away except for every great once in awhile. Aspirin usually takes care of it then. The only real pain I ha...

Jumpy, please do a little more research into this subject as my husband would like to know whether I should be taking these meds or not!!! (Just kidding ) As with most subjects, there are so many variables to take into consideration. For some of us, not only are RLS and RLS meds a factor, but age an...

I take Mirapex also and it has worked well for me until recently. So it's back to the doctor to see if I need to increase the dose. I also take Neurotin because she didn't want to increase my Mirapex last time. I'm glad you have found something that works. Sleep well.

Some of what you are experiencing sounds like Restless Leg Syndrome, some like Periodic Limb Movement Syndrome. We sure aren't doctors here and can only go on our own experiences. You need to see a doctor, preferably a neurologist but a good GP can get you started. We have all had lots of sleepless ...

I shouldn't have said anything to scare you about your symptoms. I really am just concerned for you and want to know that you are seeking treatment. If you can get in with a Nuero sooner, please do so. My husband has a disease called CIDP which is a chronic form of a disease that is related to Perip...

Jumpy, I am interested in the arrythmia heart problem. I have episodes where my heart seems to do a slow beat then a couple of fast ones to catch up. I have had a monitor on for a couple of weeks and a heart cathiter done (no blockages). Seems I have a slight problem but not severe enough to warrant...

Nadia, you can have my ears anytime. I really wish we could meet or actually talk but this sure is better than nothing. You are such an upbeat person even when things have "stopped rolling" along. You give me a lot of inspiration and support and I am truly glad to have met you even though it would b...

Thank you, Mr. Jumpyowl and now if I could borrow your soapbox please? If this doctor won't listen to you and what works for you, get another one. (You can have your soapbox back now but I may need it later!) I am on Neurontin and have had no side effects with it. But each person is so different tha...

Please get yourself to a nuerologist ASAP. This is not depression, PMS, menopause etc. This is a more serious problem. I am not a doctor but I have a husband whose symptoms were almost identical to yours. With so many neurological problems, there is help and the sooner you get it the better. There a...
