Just a FYI. Neurontin can cause nausea for awhile but your body does become used to it. I haven't had any other side effects with it but I am on a low dose which may also be part of the trouble now since I am having more difficulties with my legs than in quite a while. If our Neurontin cure buddy is...

CC, we're rooting for you babe! Go in with determination and if that doc doesn't help keep looking. Somewhere out there is one who is right for you. It realy helps if your spouse is supportive too.

I will probably regret getting in the middle of this but as I am also on Neurontin I feel justified in responding. First, I only think that you were asked what your major is because the people here are very caring and supportive. If you were a major in cow poop it would be okay with everyone and we ...

RLS symptoms

Just curious as to symptoms you may have that don't fit the routine ones we know about RLS. For example: most of us have the creepy-crawly, tingles, gotta move, can't sleep symptoms. Some of us have pain. What kind, where, how often, does anything trigger it? I get goosebumps/tingles in various part...

Nadia, I am going to start a new catagory on symptoms. I know everyone is different but I really think there may be more going on with some of us than RLS. Just curious, I guess.

CC, you need to get another doctor's opinion. It sounds like this one is on the right track but if he is refusing to listen to you or help about the pain then honey, go to someone else. There is something else going on here. I have occasional pain but nothing like you are describing. Yes, I have los...

Ruby here! From the research I have done, it seems that if you have a real iron deficiency you may need iron shots, pills just don't stay in your body long enough to help a lot. But you really need to get in with a doctor that knows about RLS or is willing to do good research on it with you. Mr. Owl...

Mr. Owl, I am SO glad you joined this site I had never heard the info you just gave me. It certainly makes sense. It doesn't help the problem but at least I know that there is a reason for it. Thanks for your input. Now, how about the lower back pain? It does seem to me that RLS has a lot of the sam...

Nadia is right, please don't stress. One of the drugs I take is also used for Parkinson's. I think quite a few are. There may be a link between RLS and Parkinson's but from what I've read, RLS doesn't usually lead to Parkinson's. Please don't take one article as gospel. Educate yourself by reading a...

Hi, it's Ruby. I was glad (not because of your pain ) to see that I am not the only one with back pain. It isn't always there but I have started tracking it and when my RLS is at it's most hideous, my lower back hurts like #!*?. It actually feels like my backbone is dislocated from my hips. After a ...

We are not doctors here and you should probably check with one right away. Sometimes, leg cramps are due to a lack of something (magnesium, calcium, etc.) that can be easily fixed. You could also have RLS and there are great links on this site to get more info. But regardless, we are here for you Ho...

Glad you found us !! If you don't have an uncontrollable urge to move your legs that only actually moving them seems to help, you may not have RLS. You may also have early stages of RLS. Do the symptoms you have run in your family? Are there any "triggers" that seem to make it worse? When does this ...

Eric, My new friend Mr. Owl has it right. For most of us, medications like Benedryl cause more harm than good. Your best bet is to get with a good doctor (and if the first or second or more aren't good, find one who is) It has taken me 4 times to get with a doctor who knows what she is talking about...

Let us know what the doc says. My doc is taking a wait and see attitude on the shoulder. He gave me two cortisone shots and some exercises, said to come back in a month. Anyway, walk in to the doctor's with a good attitude that says, I have a problem, what can we do about it?! If he doesn't want to ...

Well you two, it's nice to keep in contact. It's also nice to know people who are very well informed about this wonderful health problem we share. Nadia, I am very glad you were able to quit work and I truly hope that you can find the meds that will finally work for you. So far, I haven't had proble...
