Re: What do you think people did with RLS before medications

Thanks rthom) I am a little better, but am really tired of doctors who try to pass this off as just "sleep problems" once we get you to sleep you'll be fine... No I will not be fine, I still have to put up with this all day long... Do you want a q-tip doc?? Your ears seems to obstructed by...

Re: New to this forum

Hello cynthus, Welcome to the forum. As for "decaffeinated" unless it says 100% it may have up to 10mg or more of caffeine. Not all decafs are fully decaffeinated so you have to be careful. And if it's just herbal tea with no writing on you even have to be more careful, be sure it is indee...

Re: What do you think people did with RLS before medications

If someone had hooked up a secret camera and recorded me during one of my WED rants you would probably of thought I was suffering from Schizophrenia. I find myself pacing back and forth literally arguing with myself out loud sometimes realizing I better calm down before people start thinking that. W...

Re: I'm back)

I was on it 2 times a day, one in evening and one for bed. I noticed the one in the evening caused me to become more crawlier so I stopped taking it, and I also know this has higher augmentation than other drugs so I chose to cut back. Why my sleep specialist told me to take up to 3 a day, I've no c...

Re: Young child with PLMD

Badnights, yes you are right. My 2nd last doc gave me only Lorazepam for sleep after giving me too much levodopa and celexa that it put me in hospital. Just left me on Lorazepam for sleep and thew his hands up in the air. Could tell by the way he acted he didn't care much about the effects of WED on...

Re: Itching and RLS?

Ok, wow thought it was just me! My legs itch, so yeah, seems to be another side effect of WED. I have hairy legs so always thought it was just my hairs moving around in my socks and tickling me. Now it makes sense...

Re: Genetics

I have a theory that many with RLS immigrated here thinking they could start a new life and leave their woes behind them. Struggling in old world Europe, they probably thought life here would be easier for them. I did same thing actually, moved 3000 miles thinking a change of pace and scenery would ...

Re: Young child with PLMD

Wow, this bring back memories. Sorry to hear your child is suffering from plmd. The way you describe him sounds exactly what I went through as a child. Life long aching legs attributed to a lot of my suffering to get to sleep, and once asleep woke up exhausted as expected with someone with this dise...

Hello Deuce. Sorry to hear you are having such a hard time with multiple diseases, I can't even begin to imagine it. Lets hope somehow you find a method that works for you. Sinimet is working for me too for now, but after reading Polar Bear's post I am going to return to my Neurologist and ask him w...

Re: Newsweek Magazine article

My friend bought me a bottle of it, knowing I can't ingest caffeine. Started taking them, an I admit, I do feel more energetic and less fatigued. I will be looking at more herbal remedies, the only worry is we don't know what happens when you mix more than one together, so have to be careful before ...
