Re: anyone's meds have worked 5 years or more?

[quote="peanut1"]Qyx, Polar and Joanie, Maybe I should ask the doc about percocet and the codeine. What are the side affects? Funny that I have not seen those meds in the nightwalkers magazine. Sorry, just noticed this question. Percocet is an opioid, I do not have any side effects other t...

Re: anyone's meds have worked 5 years or more?

I have been supremely content with Percocet. My doc wanted me to take Methadone but my husband and I run 2 recovery homes for men in alcohol and drug addiction recovery. I just couldn't bring myself to take methadone haha. My doc said no problem, Percocet would work fine. I had also been on Percocet...

Re: Meds overseas

I am sure my doc will write 3 months worth of paper scripts, she frequently does anyway. The problem is getting them filled and to myself in a timely fashion, I guess I'll get my husband to fill them and mail them to me (good point about fudging the contents for customs slightly...otherwise I will N...

Meds overseas

Hi everyone! Great news, my daughter is having a baby! Not so good news, she is living in Germany. I am currently on 15mg per day of Percocet (5mg tablets spread throughout the day). I am planning to spend a couple months in Germany. Does anyone have ideas on how I can keep the scripts filled? Will ...

Re: Percocet & Requip????

Thanks for the idea Steve! I have witnessed such horrors of people (intentionally) abusing Ambien, plus I don't like how I feel in the morning, it just didn't occur to me to trya different type of sleeping pill. I will keep that idea on my list!

Re: Percocet & Requip????

Thanks Ann! I like the idea a lot, especially if I can keep the Requip to one or two tablets (0.25mg). Taking 12 tablets at night made me a zombie during the day. I think I'll keep the Requip for those nights when I have gone through 3 percocets and need a "boost" to settle down my legs. M...

Percocet & Requip????

I had a terrible augmentation problem with Requip. It was the first drug I tried and was up to twelve 0.25 pills per night before finding JHU. Numerous drugs, clinical trials, and one iron infusion later, I have settled in quite nicely with 5mg Percocet three times per day. I have symptoms in the mo...

Re: I'm still here and still feeling the WED

I've probably got refractory RLS/WED by those standards...tried more drugs than I can remember, iron infusion, etc. Percocet is a miracle drug for me. Doesn't SOLVE the problem but sure does help. Even with that, if I up my dose of antidepressant (Lexapro) from 30mg to 40mg, I am in for a rough ride...

Re: Having a bad week

Thanks everyone!! My husband and I own a house for men in recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. We are settling on our second recovery house later this month. I just couldn't imagine taking on that task (selling different rental property, buying this one, furnishing from scratch, and welcoming e...

Re: John Hopkins Glutamate Study

Hello !!! . On the other side of this coin is that my MRI was abnormal ....... the Radiologist found a 3mm bulge in one of my arteries, so I have to have a MRI with contrast immediately when I get home. Scarey ?? YES indeed !!! It could be something or it could be nothing; so....yeah, I'll take all...

Re: Having a bad week

Exactly Ann! I feel like I know so much about RLS, and Melanoma, but next to nothing about breast issues. And I'd rather not know about them!! But this state of limbo is killing me. I don't know why I think I will feel better after the biopsy (perhaps because I will have done everything I can???) bu...

Re: Having a bad week

I've been told 5 business days, and I've been told 24-48 hours. Since the procedure is Wed afternoon, I am going to TRY to not expect news before the weekend Because of all the miscommunication, I now have the oncologist calling me almost every day. I've had the same OB-GYN for years and years, and ...
