Re: Trying to stop Mirapex

My drug of choice for anxiety, which is also great if get poison ivy and itch like you are on fire, is hydroxy-zine. It is non-habit forming, cheap and best of all, it, doesn't affect my WED.

It helped me alot on my worst detox days.

Re: newbie on 3 rd night of Requip

Welcome, Glad you are here, but sorry you have to be here. If someone addressed this and I missed it, I apologize for the repition. Benadryl and cold medicines and sleep aides containing its active ingredient are known to make WED symptoms worse, so avoid them when at all possible. Also, I take 1200...

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

10 mg of oxy made it tolerable. I took 5 mg of oxy last night with 100mg of Lyrica and it wasn't near enough. I am going to go up to 100mg of Lyrica twice a day plus 5mg of oxy at night (I am on my last few with no refills) and see what that does. Lyrica has so many side effects I don't want to be o...

Re: A Statagy for Fixing Me - My Visit to a RLS/Apnea Guru

I am so sorry you are going through such hell. Selfishly let me say your Lyrica story scares me because my doc wants me on 100mg 3X per day. Back to you. I know it's hell, but if I may be so bold, when you get down to just the pramipexole, just stop taking it. The withdrawls from titrating down are ...

Re: removing z's first

No, mine pulled me off sleeping pills first saying it might be working against me. Of course she was the same doc who thought 3mg of Mirapex was a low dose, so take that for what it's worth. As far as sleep aids, WalMart has an off brand one that works better than 10mg of Ambien or 3mg of Lunesta. E...

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

I had been on Mirapex for over 10 years. Over 3 of those last years I took 2mg per day and the last year I was up to 1.5 mg twice a day.

I was kinda wondering if my body was going to reject it but I didn't expect withdraw symptoms after such a short period of time.

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

Please forgive me for asking the dumbest question possible. So I took .25 mg of Mirapex for 2 mights until i could get to the pharmacy to pick up the Requip which i took for 4 nights. I didn't like how it was making me feel, so I stopped. The night after I stopped I took 5mg of oxy and slept like a ...

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

I was mistaken. The doc gave me 100mg of Lyrica to take 3x a day. I'm going to start out at 100mg at night and see if that alone will do it. Lyrica has too many side effects at high doses that I don't need. Does anyone else take it? If so, how much?

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

She gave me 1mg of Requip to take twice a day. I started at 1mg at bedtime. Did that for 3 nights and all 3 nights I didn't sleep well and woke up numerous times congested. Last night I didn't take any. I took 5 mg of oxy. No congestion and I slept like a baby

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

Horizant was too strong. I will ask her to let me try gabapentin. What is a starter dose? Horizant knocked me on my butt. Oh and what are its weird known side affects?

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

I need to get in to see her but we are 4 short at work and its highly frowned upon right now. However, we are short 4 ppl and I can't give my boss the me he has come to expect lately if I am once again only sleeping 3 hours a night. I feel like I was doing so well off of DA's as a maintenance drug. ...

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

Hello all,

Your advice is once again needed. I am back on DA's, day 4 pain level is zero, however, I am wide awake at 1am for the 2nd day in a row. I haven't done this since I got off DA's. Am I crazy or is my body telling me now this isn't going to work?

Thanks

Re: Pramipexole and serious side effects

Well hell's bell's I just get past augmenting and she starts me on the upper end of the dosing scale. I will start smaller. Oh well. At least when I augment she knows what to do and I know what to expect. Thanks!!!!! Desperate D, I'm well thanks, a little nervous about the DA's, but taking it one da...
